TCIWTFY - Chapter 129

Medea pointed alternately at the abdication in his hand and the outside of the castle walls where Birna was... Then she clicked her tongue as if sighing.

"Ah. Your family is truly merciless in the face of power. They are so cruel to their own daughter. Now I understand."

"This girl!"

“Samon.”

Before Samon could fall for Medea's provocation, the Regent warned his son and then spoke to Medea.

"Medea, the Queen Mother's life depended on that one seal of yours. Do you want to go down in history as a cursed lump that ate your parents and killed your grandmother?!"

"Uncle, everyone is watching. Don't you fear heaven while coveting what is not yours?"

Clear green eyes scanned Claudio. It was a clear voice as if for everyone to hear.

'It's not mine?'

Those words lit a fuse in the Regent's mind. His face turned bright red and his veins stood out.

His anger burned as if his reason was completely burned away.

"It's mine!"

The Regent shouted at the top of his lungs, seemingly forgetting what he had just told his son not to fall for Medea's provocations.

"That throne was mine from the beginning! Your great father and brother stole it from me!"

He pointed to the sky with the hand that was not holding his sword and then hit his chest.

"Heaven knows, and the earth knows! I, Joaquin de Valdina, am the one who will become the true master of this land! How did Valdina end up like this? It's all because I'm not the King! The Goddess has punished me!"

What he just poured out was his true feelings that had been captivating the Regent for a very long time.

He truly believed that his share of destiny had been taken away from him by his brother and nephew.

"Uncle, wake up from your own delusions. The Emperor, the people, and even the Goddess have eyes and ears..."

But Medea broke his strong belief with her calm voice.

"How could we choose a ruler who would throw the country into this chaos just to sit on the throne?"

Just a moment ago, the firm voice that had overwhelmed the rebels crushed the Regent's pride.

"Uncle, you are not kingly material. Your rule will only endanger Valdina."

"Huh, you think I'll be more than a plaything on your tongue! If I were you, then so be it! Wouldn't they choose me even in the face of blood and swords?"

The contrast between the Regent who was going crazy all by himself and the Princess who was maintaining her composure was striking. Among the surprised ministers, Sissair spat out.

"Your Highness, you are truly out of your mind."

"Shut up. My coronation will take place in the place where I first tore your treacherous mouth open!"

The moment the words were spoken, the Regent ordered the knight to strike him in the face.

"Oh, you didn't say funeral incorrectly, did you?"

But he still did not give in. Even though the knights of Duke Claudio's house beat Sissair up badly as if venting their anger.

"Medea, hurry!"

"Even if I die, I will not bring down His Majesty the King with my own hands. I refuse."

But despite the murderous atmosphere and the pressure that seemed to weigh down her entire body, the Princess remained stubborn.

"Even so, you bastard!"

At that moment, blood spurted out from under the Regent's feet. An unbelievable thing had happened.

"Mother!"

"Your Majesty the Queen Mother!"

The Queen Mother pulled out the dagger worn by the Regent and stabbed herself in the chest.

"Joaquin, you will never become the King of this country! I will not let you!"

Even as she fell down, her wide-open eyes did not leave her son.

'I have nurtured your ambitions, so it is I, the mother, who will destroy them.'

If she dies like this, Joaquin will go down in history as a great rebel who killed his own mother and usurped the throne from his nephew.

The people will never accept him as King, and no matter how he holds the throne, it will soon fall.

Medea. I'm sorry. I'm such a bad old woman...

The last image captures Medea's wrinkled, cloudy eyes.

Her granddaughter was staring at her blankly. Was there a hint of worry or resentment in her green eyes?

"Your Highness the Queen Mother!"

Madame Pinatelli shook off the knight and ran to the Queen Mother. She pressed her sleeve against her bleeding heart with all her might.

"Please call the palace doctor! Hurry up! Your Highness, isn't this your mother? Please...!"

The Regent's face was now sallow. How could a biological mother block her son's future like this?

Hahaha.

The regent's mouth was torn open and sadistic laughter echoed. His eyes, which had lost their sense of reason, were filled with madness.

'Yes, it doesn't matter whether it's a Queen Mother or not. As long as I become King, it doesn't matter!'

He clenched his fists with cold eyes.

And then he shouted at Medea.

"This is the last, Medea! Quick, stamp the seal!"

But Medea still did not move.

She was just staring at him as if she was waiting for something.

"Hahaha! Are you waiting for your brother? Peleus, do you think he will come running and save you now? Wake up! What difference will his arrival make? The entire army of Valdina will be rotting away in the dirt of the plains!"

It was then that a faint laughter was heard.

"When my uncle was the King, the reason Valdina had a hard time against the Katzen invasion was because my uncle fell into their trap and led his soldiers out."

Medea no longer hid her blatant mockery.

"I heard that my uncle survived, even though you had a scar on your shoulder, but the five hundred soldiers who followed the King never returned alive. I guess your eyes that cannot read the situation are still the same."

"You really are using the dragon because you want to die."

"Uncle, you might as well kill me and take my seal. After all, wouldn't it be better to kill a cold-blooded man who killed his niece than a traitor who threatened his parents?"

Medea spread her arms and exposed her chest. Her green eyes gazed at the Regent and the Queen Mother.

His niece's cold green eyes.

It was exactly like his brother's eyes that looked down at me with pity.

Hatred and feelings of inferiority welled up from the depths of the Regent heart.

So the agitated regent did not realize it.

Medea's gaze flashed for a moment as she passed by the castle walls, laughing at him.

"There's nothing I can do, Medea. Don't blame me. It was your choice."

As he was forced to raise his sword, Samon grabbed his father's arm in a hurry.

"Oh. Father! Fix it, think again calmly and rationally-"

Are you really going to kill Medea now? Isn't that different from your original plan?

Above all, hundreds of eyes were watching them now!

"Let go, Samon. You will receive everything from this father. The throne, and the kingdom."

However, the Regent had even pushed away his son's hand. There was now no one left to stop him from going mad.

"What have I to fear now!"

The Regent raised his arm. Just as the gleaming sword swung down toward Medea.

Crash!

"Ahhhh!"

The Regent's scream rang out with a cracking sound like iron being crushed.

A sharp spear flew in and struck his sword. The force was so strong that fragments of the sword flew into the Regent's eyes.

He screamed with his eyes wide open, blood streaming down his face.

"Ahhhhh! Who are you! Who, who dares to...!"

Half of the vision was directed towards where the spear had come from.

"Claudio, don't touch my sister."

A cool voice rang out.

Everyone gathered raised their heads at the sound of a voice that was not loud but loud enough for everyone to hear.

A gust of wind swept over the walls of Valdina, cooling the heat of madness.

And where the wind had passed, on the watchtower overlooking the castle walls, a young man stood.

Silver hair and a blue cape fluttered.

The emblem of the Valdina royal family was clearly visible on the armor.
