THYU - Chapter 128

Violet, who had finished delivering the message, bowed politely, leaving behind Ash, who was speechless.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you. I'll go."

After she finished speaking, she slowly walked out into the hallway. Ash and Jeff Lawrence followed.

“Violet!”

When Violet turned around, Jeff spoke for him like Ash's limbs.

"What are you doing? How can you bring such shame to our family! And you're going to take away your father's seat?"

Although Jeff never touched a woman's body, he was the same type of person as Ash who thought it was okay to threaten her.

Standing behind Violet was at most a young and petite maid. When the maid, who had been feeling discouraged from earlier, disappeared somewhere, Jeff, who became even more discouraged, spoke to her.

"Your actions are not helping the Lawrence family."

"Jeff, do you have much connection with Ash?"

Jeff's face turned red as Violet asked him calmly.

"What does that mean all of a sudden?"

"That's right. You play polo with Ash every week."

"There's nothing I can't say. Ash, you're right. Violet has become strange."

Ash responded calmly to his words.

"I told you. I felt like she was under a spell because she lived with that lowly stranger."

"That won't work. If we're going to hold a family meeting anyway, shouldn't we suggest that Violet be completely excluded from the Lawrence family?"

As Jeff spoke, Violet was silent for a moment and then spoke quietly.

"I looked into that polo club and it turns out that a lot of big things happened, Jeft."

"What, what?"

"Have you ever made a mistake?"

When Violet, who had learned the speaking style that Winter often used, continued talking, Jeff turned pale and closed his mouth. Then Ash said with a frown on his face.

"Don't be so proud just because you found out about the rent details, Violet. It was royal property anyway. Who do you think other than you will say that I collected some rent?"

"A lot of people. The good people who disbanded the royal family and forgave him believing that he sincerely apologized will be angry. People who believed in the son's responsibility to resolve his father's failure. Do you know that it ends after a person uses it like an object?"

Jeff's expression hardened at Violet's words. But what was more crumpled than that was Ash's face. He said in a voice full of anger.

"That's why you're stupid. Rokround returned to the hands of several nobles. Do you think we can do something great if we have a lot of people?"

"Ah, Ash."

Violet remembered something and slowly walked towards Ash and said.

"Are you scared?"

"What?"

"At least we grew up together, so I can at least recognize your scared face."

"You..."

"You're right. Finding out the rent is nothing yet."

Cold sweat broke out on Ash's back as he realized that the woman he thought was a useful ally was actually going to strangle him. It was a moment when he even thought that it would be better to deal with her here.

Ten rugged men in suits approached from the end of the hallway. Ash said in exasperation.

"You seem to have quite a lot of escorts."

At those words, Violet turned around and forgot her anger, her eyes widening.

"Quickly! My little lady is alone!"

Jen, who had been buried among the giants, quickly stepped forward and led the men. As Violet wondered what was going on, a familiar face appeared. It was Santor Tan, a player she had her money on at a sports stadium she had previously visited with Winter.

Jen quickly Introduced it to Violet.

"Little madam, these are the employees in charge of security at the Kanik Hotel."

"Security? Why are they here?"

"The CEO said that since the majority went to fight today, the majority of our side also wanted to go."

"Oh my God."

"He said you wouldn't let him come if I told him in advance, so he told me to tell him when you arrive."

Violet laughed at Jen's bright voice. Jen was by her side no matter what, but she absolutely deferred to Winter's opinion when it came to her personal affairs.

Santor recognized Violet first, ran over, and bent down on one knee.

"Little madam, it is an honor to serve you. This is Santor Tan, who will serve Little Madam from today."

"I thought you were a Kaisle player."

"I had to retire last year due to a serious injury. Thanks to the CEO, I was working as a bodyguard for Kanik, but today I received a call telling me to take care of the little madame."

"Starting today? Not just today?"

"Yes, from today onwards. I will continue to guard the little madam."

Violet looked embarrassed at Santor's words.

Perhaps it was a great shock to Winter that Violet was in danger during the shooting incident. But isn't it too much to have ten people follow?

Violet looked back at the two people who had been talking while thinking, and their expressions were crumpled.

"I'll just go now."

After Violet said goodbye, she looked back and the guards parted to make way for her to pass. As Violet passed through them without even looking back, the guards followed her and glanced back at Ash.

Ash was so annoyed that he turned around and said to Jeff.

"Let's go back now."

"Uh, huh? Okay."

Jeff nodded absentmindedly.

As Ash was returning to the dining table, the restaurant staff came to serve dessert.

For a moment, Ash felt that their expressions were subtly colder than before the article was published.

***

Violet, who had been scared by accident, smiled brightly. Jeff and Ash in particular would not have been surprised if Winter had taken revenge on them at any time. Winter could not do anything to Ash, who was tightly connected to all sorts of powers, but Ash still felt fearful of Winter. Winter's overprotection was usually a bit unpleasant, but today, he seemed to be showing off his authority, so it was not bad.

Violet looked back at the group that had grown again.

"Well, it's late, but shall we go for lunch?"

"Great! Shall I guide you?"

"Yes, please."

Jen excitedly led everyone to her favorite restaurant.

Violet left the place crowded with her companions. The guards were all large and rugged, but they seemed friendly to Violet, who lived with Winter.

***

Hayel was usually in charge of buying gifts for the employees. But today, she couldn't call him over because he had to give gifts to everyone, including Hayel.

Winter, who was wondering who to hire, found a boy sitting on a chair against the wall of his office. He was a boy from the Kanik clan drawn from Calibon. A few days ago, he had barely passed his fifteenth birthday, the age at which he could legally work, and since the CEO had been bedridden, Hayel had been so busy that no one had asked him to do any work, so he was just sitting there with a face that looked like he was going to cry.

Winter poked his head through the door and pointed at the boy.

"Intern over there, come out."

"Yes, yes?"

The boy sat up in surprise. He didn't know what to do when the CEO called him out while no one was telling him to do anything. He followed Winter frantically and saw him walking quickly.

"What's your name?"

"It's Polly!"

"Okay, kid. You are my acting secretary from today.”

"Wa, are you acting secretary?"

Polly walked along, confused. He took Polly straight to his office. Inside the office, there was a small space divided by a glass wall, and on the table inside there were bonus envelopes that had been individually distributed by the bank and had each employee's name written down.

"Now, write a greeting there. Similar but different."

Then Polly said in a trembling voice, tired of the sheer number of employees.

"Uh, uh. How about digging up the stamps and taking a few photos?"

"The kid is trying to use his brain quite a bit. Already."

Winter smiled with one corner of her mouth raised and slammed his fist on the table.

"But your labor isn't even worth the price of a seal yet. So don't think about tricking me. Just write it down, With sincerity."

"S-sorry!"

Polly cried, took out an envelope, and began to write a greeting. While Winter was working next to him, working on a pile of paperwork as tall as he was, the door opened and Hayel entered.

"CEO, what for lunch... What is that kid?"

When Hayel asked with a frown, Winter answered calmly.

"Acting secretary."

"Really? At last!"

"Just for today."

"Ah... For some reason, I thought that couldn't be possible."

Hayel pursed his lips and glanced behind the glass wall.

"Why are you doing all that? What did you say when you opened your eyes?"

"I got scolded by my wife."

"This is why I follow you, little madam."

Hayel spoke with a moved face, but Winter lifted his finger.

"Yours is separate."

"...Really?"

He followed Winter suspiciously. Then Winter held out letters with handwriting on them.

"Here."

"What is it?"

"The threatening letters your parents have sent me so far."

"Yes?"

As Hayel frowned, Winter pushed the letter to him and said.

"You don't give them money, so they ask me to give it to them."

"Well, is that why you gave it to me?"

"It's about your weekly salary once or twice a year. It's better to give it away and get rid of it."

"Why are you giving me that! You know that they are not the kind of people who would be grateful if something was given to them!"

Hayel, who was yelling in anger, saw Winter tapping the part with his finger.

'If the money doesn't come in by the 12th of this month, I'll burn your house down, so you know that! You missed the deadline? If a bullet hits the carriage today, you'll think it's me.'

"It has to look funny to cross the line. If you cross the line, you're thrown in jail."

Hayel said, his eyes widening at the letter.

"Aren't they crazy? I guess they thought the CEO was easy because you had gray eyes. He threatens you with his real name. I should have done it anonymously like everyone else! If you threaten to kill a nobleman, isn't it a minimum of 10 years in prison?"

Winter shrugged and continued.

"Make it 20 years. It's not a waste of money."

Hayel gathered up the documents and smiled brightly, something no one around him had ever seen before.

"CEO, you have overcome the critical moment and your courage has become smaller. About 20 years. He will be banned forever."

"Do whatever you want and take a week of it. I'm going on a date."

 "Yes, CEO!"

Hayel ran out excitedly, but then came back and said as if he was going crazy with excitement.

"I've never received such a nice gift in my life! I will be loyal for the rest of my life!"

"Get out because I don't need it."

Winter, who had to prepare for a date, tried to send him out, but Hayel's mouth caught In his ear and he continued.

"I don't know how strong the little lady was when you were lying down. You should have seen It."

"Why our Princess?"

When he mentioned Violet, Winter didn't chase him away again and asked. Then Hayel chattered excitedly.

"Oh, you can't even imagine. The little lady tried to stab Carlson Rowe."

No way.
