THYU - Chapter 126

After taking a bath, the two tasted the rich soup cooked by Chef Turin. As soon as he got the call that the two would be returning, the thick soup was made, filled with potatoes, cream, and a large piece of meat, and was perfect for a meal.

The soup was so delicious that the two ate, clearing their plates with freshly baked white bread, and returned to the bedroom. Violet asked to blow off steam, so Winter got ready to go straight to her bedroom. He looked at his appearance in the mirror several times as if he were going out somewhere. He chose the one he liked as much as possible among similar pajamas and flipped his hair back and forth again.

Meanwhile, when Hayel entered, Winter asked as if scolding him.

"Harlin, why isn't this bastard coming? When did his last call?"

"He must have had a hard time coming all the way here, and his health started to get worse again"

"He's faking it."

"If it's okay, he was asking if the CEO and the little lady would like to come to Alika."

"They said I couldn't go in."

"The CEO of Kanik is different."

"That makes me even more upset. You can't become a five-year-old separated from your parents, but you can become a millionaire? Are there really such petty scumbags?"

Winter finally decided on a style he liked while being sarcastic and tidying up his hair. And then as he was looking for a robe to wear over his pajamas, Hayel spoke bluntly.

"Anyway, what should I tell the company?"

"What do you tell them?"

"How many of our employees came to visit us when the CEO was lying down after being shot? You have to do public affairs."

"If you can see clearly from a lying cub, what will fall? You have to be active when you're awake. If you're going to tell me, just tell me not to do anything inefficient in the future."

Winter had told him everything he had said so far, there would be no way the staff would have come to his hospital room. Hayel, who thought he would have to decide on his own greeting this time, bowed his head.

"Then I'm off work."

"...Uh."

Winter, who answered half-heartedly, chose a gown carefully even after Hayel left, then put it on roughly, pretending not to have chosen it carefully, and headed to Violet's room.

When he knocked on the door, Violet, who had become very gaunt over the past month, opened the door.

"You came?"

Winter looked down worriedly at Violet's small face seen under the not-so-bright lighting.

"Even after spending a month in the hospital, your complexion is not good."

"Is that so?"

"Great job. Because I was lying down."

Violet smiled faintly, nodded, and looked at Winter.

"You were fortunate to have a lot of help from people around you. Have you thanked people?"

"Hayel also said that earlier. All of this cleaning is included in his salary."

"At least you said thank you to Hayel,  right?"

"That guy especially gets a lot."

"You said you didn't do it."

Violet sighed.

Everyone thought his behavior was natural and ignored it, but Violet had no intention of doing so. She opened her mouth with a stern face and a kind voice.

"Winter, Hayel was in the North the whole time you were sick. I don't think it was all his doing. Moreover, Eglin and Anjali are fighting a legal battle to run the company without you, saying that Carlson should be punished for murdering a nobleman. Sir Giannis took care of the rumors at his villa to prevent them from spreading."

"Yeah..."

"Don't tell me it's all about money, they won't do that if they don't have any goodwill for you. They won't do that if they don't respect you. With the same heart as mine. You must learn how to love, but you had better learn how to receive."

Although Violet didn't like her affectionate nagging at all, Winter just pretended to be frowned upon. Then, when her wife grabbed his arm and pulled him into her bedroom, he was dragged along obediently as if he had no stubbornness at all. Violet had Winter lie down on the bed and carefully covered him with a blanket.

Winter, who found her serious appearance cute and tickled his insides, opened his mouth that had been tightly shut.

"I will take care of greeting the employees. I'm at the gift list company."

"Is it so?"

"Ingratiating people with gifts is my habit and specialty. Only you fail, most people succeed."

"Why do you think you failed me?"

"You didn't like it when I gave you that gift."

"That's because they give gifts like mountains."

"What's the problem with that?"

"It means you gave too much."

As Violet was wondering how to explain the pressure of the barrage of supplies to Winter, who didn't seem to understand what she was saying, Winter pulled her chin, kissed her forehead, and said.

"Okay, let's sleep. If you nag me with that face, I won't hear anything."

"A face like that?"

"You're already pretty, but are you telling me to be scared by wearing such cute pajamas and slippers?"

"I'm not telling you to be scared, but to be mindful."

"I will. I will do everything you ask me to do, so go to sleep, Princess. Ah. I'm sleepy."

After Winter finished speaking, he pretended to yawn like he did when putting a child to sleep. Violet, who realized that he was making fun of her, frowned and pushed him away.

"I will kick you out."

"If you kick me out, I'll sleep in front of the door. Stretched out in a large size. Your maids will pretend not to notice in the morning."

"... You're like a villain leader."

"I don't know why you're bossing around, but it's very insulting."

Winter sneered and got out of bed, eventually dragging Violet to lie down and turning off the light bulb in the room.

Silence fell in the bedroom in an instant. He thought he would fall asleep right away if he lay down, but after the shooting incident, lying down in the same bed with some distance between her made him feel uncomfortable. As Winter swallowed first, Violet opened her mouth.

"I guess you'll be busy for a while."

"There are a lot of contracts for the southern business, so it will be a bit busy, Still, I'll come home regularly."

"You don't have to,"

"Why? Tell me to come home regularly. Be a bit obsessed with me."

Winter said the truth as if it were a joke.

Both of them pretended not to notice the discomfort and tried to sleep again, but they couldn't sleep at all. In the end, unable to bear it anymore, Violet raised her upper body and said.

"Sorry. I can't sleep because it's so uncomfortable."

Then Winter got up and turned on the light.

"Is there something else you can't say? Is your husband uncomfortable?"

"I'm sorry. I'll say it again. It's awkward. I don't think all the grievances have been resolved yet."

"Hey, Princess. Just because the meaning is clear doesn't mean it's less rude. Why are you so angry at me?"

Even if he pretended not to, Winter still seemed to be less relieved of her discomfort.

Violet thought for a moment and asked.

"Do you want to go on a date tomorrow evening as a reconciliation?"

"View of the South..."

Winter, who had been speaking casually, closed his mouth.

The moment he collapsed, he couldn't die because he thought he hadn't been able to show Violet around the South. So the moment she mentioned a date, sightseeing in the South came to mind.

When Violet tilted her head as if asking what he meant, Winter continued.

"Never mind. How about a play instead? To the open-air theater."

 "Ah, good."

Violet looked happy. Then she said to Winter.

"Then I'm sorry, but would you like to go back to your room?"

"No."

"I can't sleep because it's awkward. "You too."

"I still have it."

Winter refused and hugged Violet tightly.

"It's so cold I can't sleep alone."

Violet muttered at his words.

"It got a little chilly."

"We'll have to sleep together every day in the winter."

"I'll turn on the fireplace then, are you okay?"

"It's too bad, but now we have no money to buy firewood due to financial difficulties."

Violet smiled involuntarily at Winter's taunt. Now that Violet, who had been suffering for the past month, was in her own room at home, in the arms of her husband, the tension that had been so intense as she was trying to monitor the situation was eased little by little.

"I was worried."

Winter smiled slightly.

"Sorry."

"Stop saying you're sorry."

"I'm sorry about that too."

Violet laughed at Winter's answer. Not realizing that her smile was causing Winter's heart to pound. Violet tried to drag herself out of the sleep that was difficult to come by.

***

Winter, who sleeps much less than Violet, goes to bed later than her and wakes up early. As he looked at Violet, who was still sleeping, he thought to himself.

"This is why they are such a good couple."

With Violet, who was so angry and crying in hia arms. He didn't feel anxious about anything. He was patiently trying to reduce the number of things he wanted to constantly ask if she really loved him from 100 to just 1, which was out of character. Even he has nothing to say if he thinks there are a lot of Violet.

Winter looked at Violet's face again and again, counting the number of eyelashes, and closed his eyes the moment she was about to open them.

After pretending to sleep for a moment, Violet tried to gently get out of his arms, but Winter immediately opened his eyes and grabbed her arm.

"Why?"

"Is that your morning greeting?"

"Don't go, cold."

"I meant to say good morning."

What was really crazy was that after she told him she loved him, his anxiety only got worse. At some point, he wonders if she will change her mind.

Won't she turn around?

Winter had to wonder if living in such uncertainty for the rest of his life was love. Is it because he is broken that his love is also broken, or are other people also having broken loves like this, or does this beautiful Princess have a knack for making men feel uneasy?

Seeing Violet raise her upper body and look down at Winter with round eyes, the third hypothesis also gained considerable strength. Winter followed suit and got up.

Before he heard his wife say that she loved him, he was planning to let her go and die if she ever wanted to leave him, but after hearing that she loved him, he changed his mind to holding her back so that she couldn't leave.

He said seriously.

"I have a suggestion."

"What is it?"

"Every morning when you open your eyes, say good morning and say I love you."

Violet seemed a bit surprised by those words and looked at Winter with quiet eyes.

"Why are you sounding romantic?"

 "I'm surprisingly a romanticist."

Violet's cheeks flushed as she could not read Winter's dark obsession to confirm love every day, even in the form of a contract, flowing in the background of that suggestion.

"Great. I accept the suggestion."

Violet answered like that and smiled sweetly and greeted him first.

"Did you sleep well? I love you."

"..."

Winter froze in shock at her greeting and smile. Then, as soon as he threw the blanket over himself again. Violet shook him, feeling a little chagrined.

"Was it just me who did it?"

"..."

"Winter."

"Just give me a moment. It's because I feel like crying."

"Yes?"

While Winter was calming down under the blanket, Violet looked at him with a puzzled look. She was taken aback because it was a very un-Winter-like reaction, but when she tried to get up, Winter stretched out his hand and grabbed Violet's arm. Violet slightly pulled down the blanket and stopped when she saw Winter with her face open.

She didn't know why, but he looked like he was really going to cry.

Strangely enough, Violet liked that unfamiliar expression, and she felt like she wanted to make him cry again, not knowing where those bad feelings came from.
