THYU - Chapter 116

"I think the first thing we need to do is take away the seats in Congress from those connected to Ash Lawrence and fill those seats with new people."

Violet continued.

"If anyone is going to be in Congress, there should be at least one person representing the Kanik family."

Eglin, who had been quietly listening to those words, opened his mouth.

"I, who love my clan, am grateful, but Violet knows best, why can't it be done?"

"Members of the National Assembly are hereditary, aren't they?"

"Why not?"

When Winter asked, Eglin answered bluntly.

"Oh, I did. Damn it, even if you get the dukedom, the Blooming family seat will go to that Diev bastard."

Winter became irritated as if he had just remembered him. Violet calmly nodded her head and she said.

"There are a total of 18 seats, with members of the Lawrence family holding 3 seats, southern nobleman Warhoson having 6 seats, northern nobleman Bowness holding 6 seats, and other prestigious families holding 3 seats. I think three of them, the Lawrence family, should be excluded from the council."

At those words, the eyes of the three, except Anjali, widened. Anjali, on the other hand, nodded her head.

"The Lawrence family is a royal family, so even if they are not the legitimate eldest, their direct descendants have a strong say. If you can persuade them, it might be possible."

"Yes, I think there is a possibility. Even though it was disbanded, the royal Lawrence family is not completely separated from the council, so Ash still exerts influence on the council. So, I think we need to take this opportunity to break that link."

The three people who were not nobles were looking at the conversation between the two with shocked faces. Then Anjali spoke to Winter with a puzzled look.

"I told you before, madam, you are a radical. It's not as surprising as wanting to raise a half-gentile bastard as your successor. There are quite a few countries where parliamentary positions have been changed to elected positions. Rather, it is too late because Rockround is a country that focuses too much on blood ties."

There was silence for a moment. After a while, Winter spoke to Hayel.

"It seems like a good justification for reclaiming the southern business. I think this is because Kanik opposes the policy of eliminating tenant farmers, considering only the interests of Warhoson."

"I think the timing is good. What about the two co-vice presidents?"

When Hayel turned around, they both nodded as if they were in agreement. Violet found it fascinating that people in the luxury hotel business paid more attention to their external image than aristocratic society. Their pioneering plan targeting the bourgeoisie, excluding a few nobles, was correct, and they were confident that things wouId get better in the future.

Anjali stood up and said calmly.

"Then I will prepare for the meeting."

"Ah. It's another all-nighter. I have to resign."

As Eglin was distressed, Anjali followed her into the room and said.

"Stop submitting your resignation. It's hard to fix."

"You say that with your mouth, but you're going to fix it with your body."

"What does it mean?"

"It's sexual harassment. Read a book, Anjali."

"Why is that?"

Anjali looked puzzled and left with Eglin to prepare for the meeting, and Hayel also ran out to send a telegram to the company. When the living room became quiet, Winter took the coffee from Violet's hand.

"You can just sleep here."

"Everyone is preparing for the meeting now. I want to be there too."

"Why is the Princess staying up all night?"

Winter said and took Violet's hand to help her up. He scolded his wife for not being able to accept that she was resting alone.

"Don't make that face. I never hired you. The meeting will be held with people from my company."

"That's heartless."

"If you feel unfair. Join the company. If possible..."

Winter, who was trying to recommend which job would suit her, muttered seriously.

"All I can think of is lewd thoughts, so I guess I should stop."

"Why do you feel that way about my work?"

"That's what's in my head right now. You've been seducing me since the moment I got here. All I remember is you taking off your blouse in front of me."

Winter grunted and entered the bedroom. Then he lay down on the bed. Violet, who had changed into her pajamas in the meantime, said.

"If you're going to sleep, wear pajamas."

"I can't sleep. We have to have a meeting."

"Oh, I see."

"Come on. I'll go out again when you fall asleep."

As Winter pulled her, Violet fell into his arms with an embarrassed face.

It may be informal, but she felt like she was doing something wrong as she managed to be held in pajamas by a man in a suit.

Winter stroked Violet's soft hair.

"How about sharing a bedroom when we go back?"

"No. I do not want."

"Why? Because you don't like me that much?"

"Not really. I really like you."

When Violet spoke a little angrily, the corner of Winter's mouth twitched.

"Since you insist so strongly, I have to believe you."

Winter said teasingly, burying her small head in his arms and patting her back as if putting a child to sleep. Violet was confused as to what this was and fell asleep because it was too late.

After a while, a knock was heard and HayeI's small voice was heard.

"The meeting is ready."

Winter slowly got up. However, he did not want to leave his sleeping wife, so he paused for a long time.

"I guess I'm crazy about money. How were I supposed to work with such a Princess at home?"

For the first time, he clicked his tongue in surprise at his appearance.

He kept feeling like he was dreaming.

If this is a dream, how big a punishment will it be for me?

If he wakes up here and Violet is not there.

There were times when he still felt momentary anxiety and fear that Violet might have actually disappeared from the world a long time ago.

"I'll have to use a separate bedroom."

Otherwise, even if he woke up like this, he didn't know how many times he would check like a crazy person to see if his wife was really by his side.

Winter would think things would get better If she had children, over and over again, thousands of times.

Adoption might be a good idea, but he thought it would be nice to have a child who resembles his wife. Then he felt like he would have fewer delusions of her disappearing. Because his wife wants a child that much.

***

From dawn that day until the last morning before the succession ceremony, endless meetings continued on the first floor of the Lake House. There was a lot of shouting, so when Violet anxiously stopped a passing employee and asked him about it, he responded that the meeting atmosphere was very good. This was a good atmosphere, but she could understand why other people thought of Winter's personality as being much more vicious than he did.

Violet woke up early in the morning and realized that Winter was not by her side, so she took out the cream-colored blouse and rose-colored skirt she had brought and put the button on.

Then she walked up the second-floor stairs and headed to the first floor. Without a doubt, about ten employees were lying asleep on the first floor, and Winter was lying on the sofa, covering his face with his suit jacket.

Closing up a business in the South was not usually a big deal, so they would probably have to deal with it this way for a month or more.

Violet looked at the scene, wondering if it had always been like this for the past three years when her husband wasn't home.

At that time, the villa keeper quietly approached and asked.

"Do you need anything?"

"Is there enough breakfast ready?"

"Yes, I prepared enough, but I don't know if they'll eat it because they seem to need more sleep."

"I guess that's true too."

Violet nodded in understanding. She took blankets out of the closet, covered them one by one, and covered her husband with her own blanket from the bedroom. It was all night, so no one woke up, except Winter, who lifted his hand, removed the jacket from his face, and looked at Violet.

Violet whispered in a friendly voice.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?"

Winter seemed half-asleep and just stared at her. Violet reached out and stroked Winter's rough chin and continued.

"You shave before the party."

"..."

"Winter?"

"...Are you going to live with me for the rest of your life?"

 "Yes?!"

When Violet asked, Winter shook his bead, as if it was no big deal and covered his face with his jacket again. Then he crossed his arms and went to sleep again. Violet stood up with a puzzled expression. And she nodded even though he couldn't see it.

"I think so."

After saying that, she quietly left the lake house.

Her heart pounded in her chest this morning because of Winter's voice asking if they were going to live together for the rest of their lives.

"I heard a strange noise this morning..."

While she was calming down, Jen followed her with a simple breakfast and said.

"Let's go to the boat quickly, little lady."

"Yes? Okay."

Violet nodded. Even Winter was busy, so after coming here, Violet went on a boat with Jen and enjoyed breakfast, which seemed to make Jen very happy.

Flip was waiting on the boat. As the Kanik employees came rushing in, he had also come.

"Flip, is the hotel job worth it?"

When Violet spoke happily, Flip bowed his head in greeting and held her hand so she could get on the boat.

"It's worth it."

In response to his short, wordless answer, Jen spoke fussily from next to him.

"Everyone is going crazy because they want to learn from Flip. You're very popular."

"Well...To that extent..."

Flip blushed in embarrassment and averted his gaze. When he heard Violet laughing, he felt even more embarrassed and didn't know what to do.

When the two got into the boat, he started rowing slowly. Jen continued to marvel as she looked at the lake and leaves bathed in the morning sunlight.

"How is the weather so nice? This is the north and the forest, so it's not hot."

"Well, the weather is really nice."

Flip was deliberately moving the boat very slowly so that the two could enjoy the lake. Even the mere sight of a fish flapping in the lake made them burst into laughter.

When Jen arrived in the middle of the lake, she spoke out the words she had been holding on to.

"I was really curious, how do the CEO and Little Madam change their bodies?"

Then Flip, who was next to Violet, nodded eagerly as if he was curious as well.

Both these people and Hayel thought it was a great thing that they kept quiet about the body change, so Violet trusted them. But she had no intention of talking about it with anyone other than her husband.

"I'm sorry, but I guess I'll have to keep that a secret."

"No way... But I thought you would."

Jen looked disappointed but soon got excited and started chattering about another story.

In addition to theirs, there were boats from other noble families wandering around the lake, but they all blocked their view with Iarge parasols and tried to avoid eye contact as much as possible. It was rude not to say hello when they made eye contact, and she wanted to have breakfast quietly.

Breakfast was a sandwich with ham baked by the villa keeper. Even though it was simply made, it contained the villa keeper's special sauce, so she didn't think she would forget this taste even after returning to the capital.

Violet, who was passing by the lake on a boat, lifted her parasol for a moment when she heard a familiar song. Across the lake was Carlson.

He was singing with a cheerful face, and not only the maids but also the nobles who were passing by were enjoying it.

Jen whispered.

"The Rowe family is also great, right? Because it's the family that talked about marrying the little lady."

"Yes, a wealthy family. Because they own almost all the theaters and singers."

"It's a family of artists. Oh, did you hear? It has been said that for some time now, photos have been linked together and performed like a play. The actors also do voice acting."

"So? It's amazing."

Jen, whose interest in cameras has exploded these days, chattered, and Violet nodded eagerly, showing interest in the newspaper.

Then her eyes turned to Carlson. She frowned when she noticed that Carlson had a gun holstered around his waist. She wondered if it was okay to give weapons to unstable people, but there was currently nothing that could be done to prevent nobles from possessing weapons.

Violet turned her head, feeling strangely anxious.
