7MIP - Chapter 28

Although Fernand didn't do any other sports besides horseback riding, he did learn swordsmanship when he was young.

“Even so, I have completed all the training from the Imperial Sword Master!”

He had great talent, and although he was not evaluated, he was never criticized for being lacking.

“Even though I’ve never been in a real fight, I’ve actually had a pretty high success rate in sparring!”

Fernand, who grew up as the second Prince of the empire, always had friends who would please him.

They dueled with Fernand's skills, and Fernand occasionally lost and won, with many draws.

So in his memory, he was a man who was quite good at handling a sword.

“If I hadn’t let go of my sword, I could have defeated that bastard in one go!”

As his confidence rose with the distorted memories, shameless guts burst out.

“You want to duel me, the Prince?”

If he stabs the Prince of an empire with a sword, it will immediately become a diplomatic problem.

Fernand was very proud of himself, saying that Enoch's sword could not stab him.

“That’s right.”

As the alcohol flowed more and more, Agatha's face came to mind more than Enoch's.

We need to clear up the misunderstanding.”

Agatha, who was pretty when she was young but became even prettier as she grew up, was incredibly cold.

Fernand thought it was all because Agatha misunderstood him.

“If you knew my true heart, you would abandon that kind of guy and come back to me.”

The moment he repeated the thought three times that he had to let Agatha know that he was the man who was truly right for her, a determination that he had never had before arose in him.

“I have to see Agatha right now.”

As he suddenly got up and staggered about, the servants who had been waiting for the Prince to fall asleep jumped out in surprise.

“Your Highness, is there anything you need?”

“Shall I bring you more drinks?”

The servants who had served Fernand for a long time noticed that the determination flashing in the Prince's drunken eyes was not ordinary.

'You have to get drunk and fall asleep.'

'If we let it go like this, a big accident might happen.'

Although they tried with one mind and one purpose to divert Fernand's eyes, the second Prince's goal did not waver.

“Where is Agatha?”

The thought that he absolutely had to meet Agatha filled his entire body from head to toe.

“The Marchioness must have gone to bed. Your Highness, it is late at night, so you should rest for today.”

“It’s not that late at night! I need to see Agatha right away.”

Fernand managed to open the door, although he staggered around, unable to keep his balance.

'I'm so frustrated I could explode.'

He had to relieve his boiling emotions right away.

“I suit Agatha.”

The structure of castles was similar in every country.

The guest rooms are on the second floor, and the master's room is higher up.

It wasn't difficult for Fernand to find Agatha's bedroom.

If, as he ascends the stairs, he spots a piece of jewelry for a lady or spots the touch of a maid, that's his goal.

“Your Highness, you can’t do this.”

“Please, have some dignity.”

The pitiful sounds of the servants and the royal knights of Mainukor desperately trying to stop him from behind, unable to bring themselves to touch the Prince's body, echoed through the hallway.

“Your Highness the Second Prince.”

“What brings you here, Your Highness?”

The knights of Aratus who were guarding the lord's bedroom could not help but notice the commotion.

“If something urgent comes up, please wait in the reception room. I will send a call inside.”

Having been on the battlefield for so long, the knights of Aratus were hardly immune to this type of tyranny committed by high-ranking humans.

Not knowing how to deal with Fernand's rudeness, they just stood firm and blocked his path.

“Get out of the way! Do you know who I am?”

Fernand was a master of being a brat even when he was sober. Now that he was so drunk that he could hardly control his body, he looked even more impressive.

“I have something to say to my wife! What right do you have to stop me!”

He pushed the knights away and ran forward, shouting at the top of his voice.

“Agatha!”

“Your Highness. This will be problematic.”

“Agatha, come out for a moment! I have something to say!”

As those who were trying to stop Fernand was unable to stop his mouth from opening and were just stamping their feet, Enoch opened his eyes.

Although he couldn't hear the exact sound through the crack in the soundproofed door, je was able to tell that an intruder had come.

Enoch looked at Agatha in his arms before getting up. The woman with her eyes closed was sleeping deeply and showed no sign of waking up.

If he just goes ahead and resolves the situation, it will be a safe night for Agatha.

Enoch got up without delay and opened the bedroom door.

“Get out of the way! You insolent bastards! Do you think I have to cut off all your wrists for you to listen to me?”

The faint noise became clear as soon as it passed through a door.

“My lord, are you awake?”

Hubert and the knights waiting in the inner room greeted Enoch with pale, exhausted faces.

“His Highness the Crown Prince has arrived at the door.”

From the moment he set foot on the island, Enoch was so angry and dumbfounded by Fernand's excessive behavior that he was annoyed.

What should I do?

The commotion grew louder as they laughed. Enoch looked back at Agatha, who was still sleeping in the inner bedroom and then opened the inner room door.

“I told you to let go!”

As the door opened, Fernand, who had been screaming, raised his head.

“Why are you coming out of there?”

Enoch didn't even feel it was worth answering because the sight of the raised finger trembling was so funny.

'There's no way I can communicate with a drunken lunatic.'

In that case, he will have to grab hold of those who can communicate and shake them up.

Enoch looked at the second Prince's attendants and the imperial knights who were stamping their feet behind him.

“Have you been just watching the whole time His Highness has come here? Do you really believe that unconditional obedience to given orders constitutes loyalty?”

The cold, cold rebuke was so true in every word that they could not even raise their heads.

Fernand's drunkenness did not end even though his own people were being shamed.

“Agatha! Agatha!”

All the alcohol was concentrated in his mouth.

Enoch watched as people kept calling his wife, then he raised his hand himself.

“Your Highness, I see you are feeling unwell. I will help you.”

He pretended to support him, covered his mouth, and twisted his arm to keep him from resisting.

“Ugh, ugh.”

“Marquis Aratus! What are you doing to His Highness the Prince now?”

The imperial knights were startled by what happened in an instant and placed their hands on their swords, but Enoch's gaze was cold.

“Then you, will you escort His Highness the Crown Prince to the bedroom?”

“That, that is...”

“If you don’t have confidence, get out of my way.”

When the ear-piercing sound of Agatha's name stopped, Enoch's heart softened a little.

“He has plans for tomorrow, so I don’t think he can push himself too hard. I’ll just take him to his room.”

Enoch began to walk briskly, with Fernand at his side.

“Ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh!”

Enoch knew where and on what floor the room given to the second Prince was located.

Enoch descended the stairs without anyone's guidance, subduing Fernand.

“If you continue to make a fuss like this, it will not be good for His Highness. Please be quiet.”

Fernand continued to resist while moving, but there was no way he could escape Enoch's grasp.

Every time he rebelled violently, Enoch twisted his arms and moved.

“Eeeeeep!”

He seemed to be screaming from his gagged mouth, but Enoch paid no attention to it. He dragged him as if he was subduing a wild buffalo and arrived at the room given to Fernand.

“Please do not come in, as I have something to discuss with you.”

After blocking the entrance of the imperial knights and attendants who were hurriedly following behind, he threw Fernand in and closed the door.

“Yes, you! Are you crazy!”

Fernand kept rubbing his arm as if it was sore from being subdued. As he did so, he poured out threats that would not make it through his pierced mouth.

“How dare you drag me like this?”

Enoch clicked his tongue after checking Fernand's flushed face and the scattered bottles of alcohol.

“You have completely lost your senses. How can I interpret your actions when you come to my lady’s bedroom in the middle of the night?”

Enoch moved closer to Fernand, intending to pressure him to never do something like this again.

Fernand, who had been furious, soon shut his mouth, suppressed by Enoch's murderous gaze right in front of his nose.

“I do not like the attention Your Highness gives to my wife.”

Enoch looked at the closed door and gripped Fernand's shoulder tightly as he searched for the presence of the knight and attendant.

“Don’t pay any more attention to Agatha. As you know, I am a person who speaks more easily than words.”

“Are you threatening me now?”

Instead of verbally admitting the threat, the pressure of the hand on his shoulder grew stronger. Fernand was now panting, unable to breathe.

“I hope you think about it carefully by yourself. And I hope you come to a good conclusion.”

It would have been easier if he had challenged him to a formal duel.

Unlike arguments, Enoch was confident that he could finish it perfectly without having to cut it twice.

Enoch let out a long breath, releasing Fernand who was groaning in pain.

As Enoch opened the door and came out, leaving the Prince who neither moved nor spoke, the imperial knights and servants rushed in.

“Marquis Aratus.”

“Have you all shared your thoughts?”

They were anxious to open the door and go in right away to check on the second Prince's condition.

“His Highness has fallen asleep.”

The Second Prince needed to consider his own position. Enoch hoped that others would not interfere with his time.

“Let’s go in and check in the morning.”
