THYU - Chapter 50

Violet, who was left behind, was exhausted and put her hand on her forehead, but Hayel came running to her excitedly.

"Little madam! Would you like to go to the parlor for a moment?"

Hayel looks younger, so there were times when Violet thought he was cute even though he was older than Violet.

Violet smiled.

"Wouldn't it be better for you if I did that?"

Hayel laughed cheerfully, knowing that she was making fun of Winter's fiery personality. He led the way to the living room and chattered more excitedly than usual.

"I will bring you a gift when I go home. They have some really good drinks. Eat with your neighbors. Isn't this town a party when anything happens?"

"They are very exciting people. I would appreciate it if you would bring me some alcohol."

Violet laughed. Hayel thought that the Little Madam had really saved his company from the crisis, and he had no doubt that she would be the only one who could control his boss in the future.

Violet said to Flip, who quietly followed behind.

"I really enjoyed the bread you brought me last time, Flip."

"Thank goodness. I was rude back then."

"Why are you worrying about me? Don't say that."

Even when they arrived at the living room, the two of them didn't go right away because they had a lot to say, but instead told Violet how much Winter had been bothering them.

When Winter returned a little later and motioned for them to turn off, the two quickly ran away. Winter asked, sitting down.

"Why on earth does the market bottom fall when you show up?"

"What does it mean?"

"People are flocking in."

Winter was annoyed, but Violet was laughing for some reason. Then Winter became even more impressed.

"If you keep doing it that way, you won't be able to manage people. It's not a compliment."

"To me, it's a compliment. I thought everyone was uncomfortable."

"What are you talking about. To be pretty is to be pretty, and to be uncomfortable is to be uncomfortable."

There was shock in Violet's eyes at his blunt words. Winter added a word without realizing it.

"Even I feel uncomfortable with you."

"I beg your pardon? Which aspect makes you uncomfortable? Is there something wrong with my personality?"

When Violet asked worriedly, Winter Iaughed.

"Then how can someone who was royal be very comfortable?"

"It's a problem that even people who don't know that I'm from the Lawrence family feel uncomfortable."

"The look in your eyes and the gestures of your hands are like royalty. We instinctively feel that others are in trouble."

From Winter's point of view, that nobility was something she wanted to obtain even at the cost of all her possessions, so this was truly a compliment, but for Violet, the only shock left was that she was someone who caused inconvenience to others.

Winter asked, walking over to the table where the drinks were.

 "Alcohol?"

"Oh, I'm fine."

Then Winter nodded, made a glass of martini with a twist, and drank it down in one go. He said, putting down his glass.

"I have something to say to you today, so I thought I would come here if I did. This, so I put my head down."

"What do you mean?"

As Violet asked, Winter walked towards her and knelt in front of her.

Violet's eyes showed embarrassment at this action. Winter said, lifting his head and looking up at her.

"Sorry."

"..."

"I feel like I need to say this."

Violet unconsciously clenched the hem of her skirt.

"What are you sorry about, all of a sudden?"

"You were right. You did that, right? I bought it at a high price, but it seems like I can't use it. I didn't understand it at the time. My marriage to you was ultimately about me paying money to buy a title, and you had to sacrifice yourself for that. I didn't want to admit it."

"..."

"I apologize."

Violet looked into Winter's eyes as he looked up at her. It was a feeling that was difficult to describe.

"Thank you for saying that."

"How much? Do you want to at least pat my head?"

When Winter asked mischievously, as done with being serious, Violet was let unconsciously said,

"Ugh."

Then she laughed as if Winter was shocked.

"You make all those noises."

"I learned it from Pim who came with me earlier."

"You learned something great."

"I also learned how to be sarcastic from you."

"Oh, is that so?"

Violet then smiled, ever so slightly.

"I'm sorry too."

"If it's about losing money, that's fine. It wasn't your fault, but I apologized a hundred times. If it was an apology for leaving, that would be fine. Because I will never forgive you."

"Hmm... Then let's cancel it."

"That's wise."

Winter said.

Although it took a long time, his apology softened their relationship considerably.

And Violet guessed that Winter wasn't Just ignoring the past year.

Violet got up and pulled Winter's arm to help her up and he got up. Then he pretended to stumble and hugged his wife with one arm.

He buried his face in Violet's shoulder and muttered.

"My legs are numb and I can't stand."

"You are standing now. I don't feel any weight at all."

"...Shit.

Winter grumbled and straightened up.

Maybe it was because he relaxed a little after receiving the apology, but she found him a little cute.

Violet asked.

"Why do you want to hug me like this?"

"Your body is perfect for hugging."

Violet thought that Winter might have been seeing someone else over the past year. But seeing as he was hugging her, he guess not now.

Violet had confidence that Winter was not a piece of trash who met two or three people at a time.

"What on earth does it mean to be perfect for hugging?"

"It smells good. Soft, soft."

"Soft?"

When Violet tilted her head, Winter wrapped his arms around the back of her thighs and lifted her up to sit on the table. As soon as she opened her mouth, Winter struck his head.

"I know. I know. The table is not a place to sit."

"Why are you doing this when you know?"

Violet asked as if she really didn't understand. Winter clicked his tongue, ignored him, and held out his arm.

"Touch it."

In response to his request, Violet raised her hand and touched his arm, and found that the muscles tightly packed into the skin were so hard that even a needle could not go through them. Then Winter took Violet's hand and let her touch his arm.

After feeling her own skin, Violet withdrew her hand as if she now knew. But Winter's hand holding her arm did not let go, He moved his hands while making eye contact. His hand gripped Violet's wrist with just enough force that he could pull it off, then slowly moved up to grip her forearm with the same force.

His large hands held her forearms generously.

His hand went up further, passed over her shoulder, wrapped around her neck, and then slowly moved down. And when it reached the upper chest, Violet caught it and stopped it. She said in her urgent voice.

"Don't do this."

"I have no intention of lying down here. Then it seems like I was hoping for something like that and apologized."

"I know. And what do you mean, laying it down here?"

"You could do it here. If you're in a hurry.'

Violet, whose eyes were like a rabbit surprised by his words, spoke as if scolding a child.

"Are you crazy? This is the living room."

"If you say I'm crazy, it means it's an earth-shattering shock."

"It's not that bad, but marital relations are done in bed."

"I have a question."

Winter sat cross-legged on the chair pulled in front of her with a serious expression on his face. As Violet tried to go down, he grabbed her calves and held her down.

"It's your common sense."

"Yes."

"If I put the bed outside, can I do it there?"

"..."

Violet's eyes were filled with shock, shame, and fear.

The expression on her face made Winter
wonder how such a shallow thought could come out of a human's head. Winter was in a lot of pain trying to suppress his laughter at her violent reaction. He continued speaking, putting his hand on the table as if to think about it further.

"I'm really curious. Anyway, it's on the bed, right?"

"Beds should not be outdoors. Isn't it obvious?"

"Why not? So what do you do if you need to transport your bed between homes?"

 "Teleport me?"

"Don't obscure the point. It's not that kind of problem, is it?"

"What about hammocks? It's outdoors."

"A hammock. Stop talking about this now. I can't communicate with you."

"You have to tell me exactly what's wrong with the hammock so I can understand. I received sex education so differently."

"Winter!"

Eventually, Violet exploded, her voice rising. Her face was unusually red.

"The bed must always be indoors, and marital relations are only possible in bed. A hammock is a bed in name only, it is not a bed, so stop playing with words!"

"The hammock will be upset if it hears. Besides, no pun intended. I have very serious concerns..."

Violet covered Winter's mouth with both hands. Thanks to this, the gazes of the two people became closer. Winter had a sly look on his face, and Violet had a stubborn look in her eyes.

She determined to get him away.

Winter leaned a little closer to her. Then, just before Violet tried to take her hand away, he straightened up and escaped her hand.

"The olive oil gift, you ordered it, right?"

"How did you know that?"

"There's no way there's anyone in a village like this who knows me so well."

"Don't say it's in the countryside."

"Thank you for having a pretty face. Take care of yourself."

"..."

"What"

Violet looked at Winter with eyes filled with awkwardness and puzzlement. Winter, who was looking at that with an annoyed expression, asked back.

"Don't pretend not to know. Don't you know you're pretty?"

"This is the first time I've heard that from you."

"Don't lie. I really didn't say that?"

When Violet nodded instead of answering, Winter cleared his throat and asked.

"... Should I kneel again?"

"Enough is enough."

There was a moment of silence between the two.

Winter said, cupping Violet's chin in his hand.

"If it weren't for your pretty face, I would have run away as soon as I found out about that damn bed."

"Why on earth do you hate that so much?"

"Do you understand if I'm hungry and feel like I need to fill my stomach with water?"

"I can understand the feeling of filling your stomach with water, but I don't know why it compares to our relationship as a couple."

Violet still looked like she didn't understand.

Winter found it difficult to keep his hands off Violet's soft skin. It felt like he was putting his hand in clear water and slowly stirring it. He unconsciously moved his ring finger and tickled Violet's cheek. He thought that if it had been edible he would have eaten it all.

When Violet removed Winter's hand and pushed him away, he twitched the corner of his mouth and leaned towards her.

"Why. Do you really think I'll do something?"

"It's not like that. Because you're not that ruthless."

"Hey, I'm the type of person who thinks about putting my bed outside."

Winter said teasingly, taking Violet's hand and lowering her from the table.

"I heard there's a festival next week. I don't think you'll ask me out on a date, so I guess I'll do it first."

Violet looked embarrassed at his playful date request. However, since she is a sincere person, she thought it was necessary to show her effort during her meditation period, so she nodded her head slightly as a sign of permission.
