THYU - Chapter 5

THYU - Chapter 5

To Help You Understand

Last winter, when the days were short, Winter stayed at home for four days. The day before Winter left for the capital again, he was accosted by Violet while they were having dinner.

"Isn't my hair too long?"

When Winter faced her, Violet asked. playing with her hair shyly.

"Should I cut it? Just to change my mood a little."

"Do whatever you feel like."

His wife frequently asked him this absurd question. Isn't it her job to cut her own hair?

Winter did not ask others about such matters.

Violet, who had been smiling for a long time at his answer, disappeared from her lips.

And the conversation was over. She didn't cut her hair because she changed her mind, and after that day she asked him no questions.

Winter remembered the change in Violet's expression that day. He guessed she was displeased with his answer, but he couldn't figure out what the problem was.

Should he have told her not to cut it, or should he have told her to cut it?

Women were truly unknown beings. After a while, the maid brought him medicine and water, which Winter took, and fell into a deep sleep.

How long did he sleep?

Just when the headache was going away thanks to the medicine, he woke up to a knock on the door.

"Violet."

"Come in."

Winter responded in a dazed state to his younger brother Diev's voice.

Diev, who had been visiting Violet In a disgruntled mood, for some reason allowed him to enter the bedroom, his displeasure eased and he smiled.

"They said you just keep sleeping. This time, Rickman said you weren't faking it but were really unwell?"

"I'm dying. Yes, very."

"What about meals?"

"I can never eat it."

Diev, who had been ignored in various ways by his half-brother, Winter, and who had shown an attitude of bowing down to him because he had to accept the money, was now smiling the whole time.

Winter said, clearly annoyed by that smile.

"Go out and get some drinks."

Dieb laughed at Winter's words and walked out. Winter was lying down thinking there was no way he could bring it, but Diev brought him. water with mint in it and put it on the nightstand.

"No alcohol. Drink water."

He said quietly and left the bedroom.

After his brother left, Winter's expression crumpled. Were these two really close?

In fact, he was away from home often to rebuild a company that was on the verge of bankruptcy, so he had no way of knowing what happened during that time.

Winter's stomach was boiling, but he was so weak that it was difficult to get up. After he slept for a while, Winter gained strength from the medicine and boarded the train to the capital.

***

I thought everything would come back when I woke up, but even after Violet woke up. nothing changed.

"I really must have gone crazy."

While Violet was talking to herself, Hayel suddenly came in and said.

"Ma'am sent a telegram. The little madam cut off his hair. Madam said it suits her so well and that you should come back and tell your wife how pretty It Is. No, Madam always takes care of Little Madam like this, so why does Little Madam hate going to parties so much?"

Ah...

A weak laugh came out. For the past three years, Winter has never come to Catherine's party. He often participated in events such as birthdays, but even those events were meant to Increase his network, so he was busy talking with other businessmen. So neither Hayel nor Winter knows. The cold stares and criticism she feels from the crowd.

Even if Winter had known about the bullying, he would have agreed with others' opinions and not taken his wife's side.

He told Violet several times that he lost the money he invested because of her. It hurt Violet's heart to think that way.

It's been three years, but why doesn't the pain in her heart go away?

She doesn't know how it hurts so much as it did the first time.

How difficult it was for the man she fell in love with at first sight to end up hating her for three years, and for three years to sort out the emotions mixed with regret, the excitement of first love, and resentment.

Violet opened her mouth quietly.

"I have no interest."

"Yes?"

"No matter what my wife does. I'm not interested."

'Do whatever you feel like.'

Her husband answered that way. So in this situation, Winter Bloom would have responded like this. He doesn't care what his wife does or what changes happen. He has no interest.

At that time, the voice of a hotel employee was heard outside.

"Representative, the little madam has arrived."

"What?"

At those words, Violet unconsciously took a step back.

She didn't want to escape this dream-like delusion. It felt like hell would begin again if she faced her own body.

"Say I'm going to sleep."

Then Hayel responded as if nagging.

"No matter what, you have to ask what brought her here."

"You can ask."

Hayel was disgusted by Winter's indifference but had no choice but to head to the lobby.

When he arrived at the lobby, he felt a sense of unfamiliarity with the Little Lady who was standing sloppily with her arms crossed, and asked politely.

"Little Madame, how did you get here?"

"What about my husband?"

"He is sleeping. We have adhered to everything we have asked, so he will feel relieved and sleep for a long time."

"He finished the contract? Just as we asked?"

When the Little Lady asked with an expression as if she was going to kill him, Hayel looked embarrassed and asked back.

"Yes. Is there something wrong?"

The two got into the elevator in the middle of their conversation. When Hayel put the key he was holding into the keyhole next to the door and turned it to the 12th floor, a rattling sound was heard and the elevator moved.

Winter held out her hand first.

"Contract."

"I already handed it over to the company."

Hayel, who was wondering why he was asking this, Immediately remembered Winter, who said he was not interested in what his wife did. He didn't know that unlike him, his wife was trying to show her interest in her husband's work as well.

Hayel cursed the heartless Winter in his mind and got off the 12th floor first and held the door. Even though he didn't lead the way, the Little Lady took care of it and headed to the suite where Winter always stayed.

Then, he took the key from Hayel, who was lost in his thoughts the whole time and looked at him pitifully and entered the bedroom recklessly, locking the door before he came in.

Entering the suite, Winter stood at the window and asked himself to look at her with a puzzled expression.

"Violet, is that you?"

"Winter, wait..."

"This is the first time such a ridiculous situation has happened."

Winter, who was getting closer, narrowed his eyes. The smell of cigars and alcohol coming from his body was terrible.

"How did you use my body?"

It was the moment when he got irritated and went closer and grabbed his arm. The two felt dizzy at the same time and stumbled. Soon the dizziness disappeared, and Violet saw Winter in her eyes, and Violet in Winter's eyes.

It happened the moment their bodies touched. Both of them figured out the method through the timing of regaining their bodies.

"It seems like I come back when I touch your body."

"I see. We..... There's a lot to talk about."

"There are a lot. What the hell happened?"

"I don't know about that. What happened..."

"Why don't you know that you signed a contract?"

"A contract?"

Violet thought it was a question about changing bodies, but it turned out to be about contracts. Well, the only thing on his mind is money.

Still, she thought she had something to talk about with her husband, but it didn't seem to have been a surprise to him at all.

Winter said while Violet was hiding her disappointment as usual.

"I'm asking because the contract went surprisingly well. Rowell, how did you Defeat that mothball?"

Violet's expression immediately brightened at Winter's reaction. She's never felt a sense of accomplishment in her life, but now, under the spell of Winter's words, her body feels as if she's floating.

She shook her head, as befits a member of the Lawrence family whose family tradition is never to show off.

"It was nothing special. Do you have any idea why this happened?"

"No."

"You are a stranger."

At her words, Winter, who had been looking at himself in the mirror with pleasure, stopped his actions and turned his head towards Violet.

Gray eyes were a symbol of poverty in Larkround. The gray eyes belonged to strangers who immigrated here a long time ago, and most of those strangers were poor.

"It seems like every stranger knows how to use at least one spell, right?"

Winter looked down at Violet with contemptuous eyes and clicked his tongue.

"It's not rare. People like you who politely discriminate against strangers."

"That wasn't my intention. I know everything about your family, but something like that has never happened... I don't know much about the Kanik clan. So that's what I said, I mean...."

"Yes, yes. Assuming I am a descendant of a shaman family."

Winter interrupted her rambling.

At that moment, her body was really shaking. Because Winter scooped her up into his arms.

Violet, who was so easily lifted into her husband's arms, asked in surprise.

"W-what are you doing?"

"I know because I dragged that body all the way here, but you can't stand any longer."

"I can stand!"

 "No."

Winter spoke firmly and took her to the bed and laid her down. He then took off her shoes and threw them in the trash can.

"Don't you have any slippers?"

"I'm in the bedroom. And why are my shoes..."

"Slippers you wear when you go out."

"Do you wear slippers outdoors?"

Violet's eyes widened.

Regardless of her reaction or answer, Winter, who was dragging Violet's body around, seemed convinced that she couldn't lift a finger.

Even though Winter put a pillow behind Violet's back, he made an expression of dissatisfaction and pointed at Violet's body with his finger.

"This is it."

"This?"

"Your body. I thought I was going to die while dragging it here. The heaviest burden was your body."

Indeed, Winter came to the capital dragging her dying body with only the obsession of confirming the contract.

Even when he was a child working as a servant and being whipped until he was about to die, it wasn't this painful. The pounding headache made him want to cut off her head and throw it away.

Violet, who had been using Winter's steel body just a moment ago, also clearly understood what he meant. But today Violet's body was in good shape.

"I'm in great shape today, aren't I? Did you take any medicine?"

"Rickman gave it to me."

"Really? For some reason.... "

"I put money on it."

"Ah."

Violet was immediately convinced. He said, brushing back his black curly hair that he had missed the time to cut.

"I'm going to take a bath and go to work, so you lie down now."

She got enough sleep and it's morning now.

"What should I do with that body?"

Winter seemed really tired of Violet's body. He semi-forced Violet, who was trying to get up, to lie down, pulled the blanket up to her neck, covered it, and spoke to Hayel, who was waiting outside.

"I'm going to take a shower, so call the doctor. On the way, also bought slippers for women to wear when going out. When I come out, go straight to work."

"Yes, CEO. Wow, but you were amazing yesterday! When did you study about cigars? That bastard Rowell can't even make a sound?"

"Doctor."

"Ah yes! I'll be back!"

As if the strange etiquette practice was over, Winter returned to his usual self. Hayel was relieved and ran out to find a doctor.
