ICTV - Chapter 94

I change The Villain

I asked as I stood up.

"Are they brother's friends?"

"The tall master is talking to Master Beryl one-sidedly, but I don't think they are friends. Master Beryl is feeling uneasy."

"You should have asked who it was."

"I also want to ask who they are, but I can't think of Master Beryl for even a moment. I think you should hurry and go to the living room."

I went down the stairs. As Mera said, Beryl and the others were waiting in the reception room.

"Oh, this sounds delicious. Is it freshly baked?"

"Yes. I just baked it."

"Give me one."

Beryl frowned as he took a bite of the financier Becky recommended. Because Arshan was still clinging to his own left arm.

"Stay away."

"Don't do that. Is there anything you want? Hey, I'm a person who has nothing but money. Tell me anything, really."

Beryl said crookedly as he threw the remaining financier into his mouth.

"Then buy me a forest."

Arshan's eyes widened momentarily and then became serious.

"Can a forest buy your heart? Okay. I'll buy it right now...."

"I told you to get off, you idiot!! Are you really as crazy as Duke Serenity?!"

Beryl vigorously shook the arm held by Arshan up and down.

"Please get out of my sight!!"

"Oh, don't do that, just be friends with me! You're the first person I want to be friends with this much!"

"Arshan, please don't be rude to Pale Young Master."

The living room was becoming increasingly noisy. With a click, the door opened and I with Mera and Rika came inside.

When a woman as bright as a rose entered the room, Arshan and Violet instantly became quiet. Beryl quickly stood up and stood in front of

"Rose. Are you here?"

"Yes, brother."

"Did you rest well?"

"Thanks to brother. I had a good rest."

Because Beryl was unnecessarily tall, I couldn't see who he had brought. I asked.

"You brought guests? Who is this? Brother's friend?"

"No!"

I said without thinking.

"If you're going to bring a friend, bring Kedis too."

"I won't meet that man anymore."

"Huh?"

I looked at Beryl with puzzled eyes and sighed. My complexion darkened.

"...We weren't really close."

Beryl brushed his hair for no reason.

"I told you several times that we're not close."

They just had fun together, that's aII. They were never close enough to trust and hang out no matter what. So even though contact was cut off overnight, Beryl wasn't disappointed at all.

Kedis himself is the heir to the family, and his only sister, Judith, must be married off to a better place.

Beryl understood Kedis.

"Your family is several times more important than a person who is fun to be with."

I lowered my head as I watched Beryl accept this situation very calmly.

"I'm sorry, for us."

"Ed,  because of that crazy bastard, but why is this because of you?"

"..."

"Don't make a fuss. Your already ugly face looks even uglier. Don't be depressed and just do your own thing. Because I brought you a clue to solve this problem."

"Who on earth did you bring...?"

"Just get out of the way for now."

I pushed Edgar aside. Now I can see who is in the drawing room. My eyes widened as I glanced at the group without any expectations.

I muttered unconsciously.

"Violet?"

As soon as I came in, Violet's eyes, which had been shaking even harder, opened wide.

"Do you know me?"

The two looked at each other dumbly.

***

Why is the heroine here?

I didn't understand the current situation. Obviously in the original....

Ah, it would be too conscienceless to look for the original now.

I glanced at Violet. Anyway, I feel it again. The frame of the original has been completely broken. Belial did not kill me. Edgar confessed to me, and Violet came to me on her own.

I stared at Violet. Now I really don't know what will happen next. Something more shocking may happen than what Edgar confessed to me. Because reality always exceeds expectations.

Honestly, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared, but it's still bearable. Let's just hit it once.

I squeezed my arm.

"What, do you two know each other?"

Beryl's eyes narrowed. Beryl said to Violet.

"You clearly don't know Rose at all."

"I only know this one way."

I quickly opened my mouth.

"Belial told me. The reputation of the Seneta family."

"Ah, it was a famous family. Even you don't know that anymore...."

I looked at Beryl with pitiful eyes and then said hello to Violet.

"It's an honor to meet you."

"... No, it's me."

I turned to Beryl.

"I'd like to hear an explanation first."

"Oh, that's-."

Before Beryl could finish speaking, Arshan clung to him. As Rika said, he was very tall. For some reason, I felt like I had seen him somewhere, but it was when I tilted my head.

"Hello, you said you were Rose Pale, right?"

Arshan spoke to me without hesitation.

"I am Arshan, who will be your brother's one and only friend."

"Oh, go away!!"

Beryl shook Arshan off without mercy and spoke to me.

"What should I say to these people? People who will believe us? No, what should I say more than that?"

Beryl flicked his fingers.

"They are the ones who know the truth."

"...What does that mean?"

"Ed, I know he confessed to you.*

"He wasn't even there."

"How do you know that?"

Beryl whispered to me.

"I think I found out about this woman named Violet because she is Edgar's friend, and that guy named Arshan is Violet's bodyguard."

"... It looks like we're really not really close friends."

Not only did I meet Edgar early on, but we also became friends. What on earth happened to Violet?

Just as I was curious, Beryl dropped another bombshell.

"And the reason she came here today is because she really wanted to apologize to you."

"... What? Apologize? For what?"

"Uh, I don't know why she needs to apologize personally, but she has to. And I brought her here because I thought there was something else there."

Beryl's eyes looking at Violet instantly became cold.

"Take out as much information as possible. Or, you can coax her into finding evidence. You're good at that."

"...No, wait a minute."

"Ah. It wouldn't be enough to just find evidence, it would be perfect if I could also stand as a witness."

"I'm sorry, but even if I get a witness, it won't make much of a difference."

This is the faith that Edgar devoted his entire life to cultivating. He can't be swayed that easily.

Even if Edgar commits murder in front of their eyes, people will believe that there must be a reason. As long as Ed didn't hurt them himself, they would remain by his side forever.

Beryl bowed his head.

"Then let's talk comfortably."

Arshan also gave Beryl his arm and spoke cheerfully.

"Miss, I hope you feel at ease after you apologize."

"Oh, stay away!"

"What's wrong, Beryl? I really want to become friends with you."

The two walked out the door side by side. Beryl looked back at me one more time before closing the door. I had my arms crossed and was looking at Violet with confused eyes. At that sight, Beryl's worries that he had tried to put to rest reawakened.

What if it doesn't work out?

Rose was right. People who don't believe you even if you get evidence and witnesses will not believe you until the end. If our pumpkin flowers continue to be criticized like this...

As Beryl clenched and unclenched his fists, Arshan cheerfully comforted him.

"It'll be okay, buddy. Don't worry too much. Because our Young Lady also has influence."

"... As much as Edgar?"

"That's absolutely not true. There is no one more loved in this country than Edgar... Oh my. Cancel what I said earlier about being okay."

Arshan pretended to hit himself on the head.

"It's not okay at all. It's natural to be worried about your younger sister."

"... Are you really lacking in some way?"

He should have looked into it earlier when they started to stick to him one-sidedly.

Beryl glared at Arshan coldly, but Arshan was still cheerful.

"But I'm sincere when I say don't worry. What if people curse? Think positively. You should think of it as filtering out a lot of people who just swear without knowing the context."

"How easy is that? If you become isolated from social circles and have a bad reputation."

"I know. I will no longer be able to do business or trade with other nobles."

"You knew that, but you kept talking carefree until now?"

Arshan blinked his eyes.

"Well, Duke Serenity, didn't he earn enough? Duke Serenity will never let your sister starve."

"Money is not the problem!"

Beryl shouted.

"I just don't like it when people I don't even know criticize my sister!"

Rose hasn't done anything wrong, so why does she have to live alone like a criminal and unable to interact with others?

"The only thing she's done wrong so far is that she's ugly?"

"Wow, she's really pretty? I've never seen a woman as pretty as our Lady. Wow, when I first came in I thought the rose was alive and walking on her own two feet."

"... This is really crazy."

Beryl immediately blushed.

"What kind of manipulation are you doing to the girl who just got engaged?"

"Oh, no. Now I see you're right. She looks ugly."

When Arshan quickly corrected his words, Beryl looked with a straight face again.

"You're even uglier, damn you. Do your best before telling others ugly."

"... You just hate me."

"Do you finally know that? I've never seen someone like you in my life. Next time, don't pretend to know anything. Don't be so clingy. It's so hot I'm dying."

Arshan stared blankly at Beryl's back as he slowly walked away. Then he soon trumpeted his hand and shouted.

"If it doesn't work out even after you come forward, just come and live in my country!"

Beryl's feet stopped.
