TAPGB - Chapter 84

TAPGB - Chapter 84

The Abandoned Prince's Ghost Bride

"Yes! A little bit more!"

Keuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

I sweatdropped and stepped towards where Lucian and Caesar were.

A week since I woke up.

I attempted rehabilitation several times a day to return my body and muscles to their original state, which had been weakened by the long period of confinement.

For the first two days, it was difficult to take a single step without someone supporting me, but now I have recovered enough to be able to move while holding on to the training bar.

Even though I wanted to put strength on my feet, I couldn't do it properly, and it was very difficult to support my entire body weight with my legs.

Nevertheless, I did not give up and my eyes sparkled.

"Done!"

When I stumbled after arriving at the target point, Lucian rushed to support me.

I took a deep breath and then raised my head, smiling brightly at the thought that I had done it.

"A little faster than yesterday, right?"

"Huh. You're doing so well."

Lucian smiled and brushed back the hair that had fallen out in front. Then he briefly kissed my round forehead.

"You again......!"

I belatedly covered my forehead, but Lucian just showed a satisfied expression.

"Why? I praised you for doing a good job. You did the same for me when I was young."

"Uh..."

Beyond being shameless, I was speechless as there was an iron plate placed on my face. At that time, Caesar, who was watching the situation, raised his eyebrows.

"This guy! Why do you do this! I will do it too!"

Cup.

Soon, Caesar also kissed my forehead.

Lucian only twitched his eyebrows and did nothing to stop himself.

As expected, there was a clear difference between Caesar and Lucian.

If you say that Caesar is just a childish expression of affection for a close friend or family member.

Lucian was a selfless expression of affection.

Not only me but also Lucian clearly felt the difference.

But, putting that aside, I did what she wanted without even asking his will and pulled Caesar's cheek.

"Ugh- it hurts! Why only me...."

"Noisy! You! Just try that one more time! Next time I'll rip out your lips!"

Caesar whined that he followed Lucian because he did it first, and complained about why Lucian wasn't scolded.

I looked at Lucian for a moment, then groaned and closed my eyes tightly.

'I don't even know why I'm doing this!'

Just like before we parted ways, Lucian...... No, I was closer and friendlier than him, but as the days passed, I somehow felt a wall against him.

"Haha, Leah. Then, Caesar's ball will fall."

Lucian smiled, let go of Caesar's cheek in my hand, picked me up, and headed to the sofa so that I could rest.

'Okay! It feels strange in this respect!'

I don't know if it was because Lucian's attitude toward me was extremely gentle and mannered, or because I was treated like a gem, but it felt like he wasn't the Lucian I knew.

When I glared at Lucian with pointed eyes, Lucian responded with a smile.

Looking at him laughing without realizing it, I felt sick to my stomach.

'Where's the little groom I knew?'

I screamed internally.

***

After the rehabilitation time, me, Lucian, and Caesar went out to the garden and enjoyed lunch.

I, who regained my body after 300 years, can eat, see, hear, and touch everything.

Everything was new and unfamiliar. Lucian, wanting to give me something new, decided to leave the restaurant and come out to the garden to eat with me.

Because it was a hot summer, we settled down near the eaves.

But I was preoccupied with other things than eating.

The place my eyes landed on was a flower bed with green summer flowers in bloom.

There, as a butterfly fluttered past me, I watched it blankly.

Lucian, who was cutting the meat in advance for me to eat, said with a grin.

"You saw it a lot even when you were a ghost, so what's so surprising?"

"But... It's prettier than I saw it before. I guess it's because the sunlight is reflecting."

When I was a ghost, I could see self-luminous things like the sun or light with the naked eye.

But now a human body, I vividly felt the warmth of sunlight and glare.

I clearly felt the difference between a ghost and a human body.

"And then it all cools down?"

Caesar, who was eating meat on the other side, muttered. Only then did I realize that I hadn't eaten anything yet.

Just as I was about to pick up my fork, I noticed a piece of meat suddenly appearing in front of her.

"Here."

Lucian was holding out the chicken leg meat that he had polished with his own hands. I paused for a moment and looked at him.

Lucian was smiling the same way he did when he was young. However, the atmosphere he gave off was never the same as when he was young.

I narrowed my brows for a moment and giggled at the smile that seemed to give off a faint scent, but my mouth opened of its own accord when a delicious smell wafted to the tip of my nose.

After eating the meat, I trembled at the taste of spices dancing in my mouth.

"It's good."

"It tastes better if you eat it with this."

Just as a mother bird feeds her baby, Lucian personally puts food into my mouth one by one. At first, I was wary of Lucian and looked at him with suspicion, but my face slowly relaxed and I was now eating the food in one go.

'It's so delicious!'

One of the best things about being human is being able to taste food. Was it because I was so excited about the porridge I ate on the first day?

From that day on, Lucian brought truly extraordinary food to the table.

Thanks to that, I was able to taste all kinds of delicacies, so I was happy every meal time.

Lucian observed my face changing every moment.

Just looking at it made his stomach full, and he felt like all the hard work he had put in just for today was disappearing.

"Now, this time too......."

"Lucian, aren't you eating?"

Lucian turned his head to Leah's words.

Leah picked up one of the foods piled in her bowl and thrust it at Lucian.

"You should eat too. You said you have a lot of work to do these days. Wouldn't it be nice to have a full stomach to gain strength?"

Lucian was dazed, and then a smile appeared on his lips.

At that moment, his smile was the same as when he was a child, so Leah shivered.

However, Lucian, who did not notice Leah's agitation, happily accepted Leqh's food and ate it.

"It's good."

"Yeah, right?"

Feeling that her face was getting hot, Leah tilted her head and caressed her hot cheek.

"Leah, take another bite."

"Now eat with your hands!"

Leah screamed, but when Lucian slumped his shoulders, he ended up spoon-feeding her once more.

"Now that I think about it, Leah, what did you talk about with Age last time?"

When Age was mentioned, Leah involuntarily stiffened and looked back at Caesar.

"Why is that?"

"No, before Age went back to the North, he told me to tell him immediately if you said anything. So I was wondering what you were talking about."

"Right......."

Leah smiled awkwardly and trailed off.

In fact, she has not yet revealed her identity to the two people.

Not only did she still find it hard to believe that she was Arya, but she also couldn't remember the parts of her past and most of all, she still wanted to enjoy the present.

'If you try to find the past in earnest, there will be more than one or two things to worry about.'

However, this does not mean that she has completely given up on finding the past.

I just want to enjoy some leisure time and happiness for the time being, at least until my rehabilitation is completed.

"I'll tell you later."

"Okay, then."

Lucian, who was just looking at me with a smile, tilted his head.

"Me? Why all of a sudden?"

"Why, why? It's been a while since you came to power. Then I guess you have a lot of work to do, so can you just stay here?"

"Come to think of it....."

It was Emperor Lucian, right?

Since I woke up and was still by my side, I forgot about it.

"Don't worry, I'm working steadily. And everyone is so talented that things run smoothly even without me."

Lucian said calmly.

Yes, I guess he's here because he's doing well...

Just as I was about to think that, I saw something behind me.

Caesar and I opened their eyes wide and looked at the figure behind Lucian.

Lucian turned his head back when he saw that the two people were looking behind him. And he stiffened for a moment.

"Whoa. It's going well even without Your Majesty."

"Ha ha ha. Harry.. How do we get here....?"

"There was a mean boss who passed all his work on to his subordinates, so I came to catch him myself."

 ".....Is that right?"

"Do you want to be taken by us, or do you want to go yourself?"

When Harry wiped his smile and looked straight, Lucian lowered his tail.

After that, Harry's nagging continued.

"Is that what Your Majesty would do...?"

I blinked as I looked like he was going to suffer for another 10 minutes.

"Tsk, tsk, I knew that guy would do that."

Caesar took a sip of his drink and clicked his tongue.

"Did you know this would happen?"

"I'm not sure, but sometimes when I'm in the imperial palace, I'm like, 'Your Majesty!' I heard a voice searching for Lucian. A little while ago, while I was eating, someone kept calling him."

That's why I asked you if you were doing your job properly.

I was worried that work might be in trouble because of her.

"Don't worry, Leah. Even if it wasn't Leah, it happens every time."

"Dio!"

I smiled brightly when I spotted Dio following Harry. Then, to my delight, I stood up and hugged him.

Dio paused and then slightly blushed.

"Oh my, you've grown so much?"

"Keu, keuhm! If that's the case, it'll be the first time we've seen each other in a year."

"Still! Is it different from a year ago?"

Since it was Dio who delivered Lucian's letters, it was I who saw Dio often a year ago.

But this was my first time meeting him in a human body.

Dio felt a little unfamiliar with Leah.

Still, since we exchanged letters from Lucian and talked on the blackboard before, I thought we might be able to get along a little more comfortably.

'Uh, the face....'

She was so beautiful that he didn't know where to place his eyes.

When Dio started snapping and acting like a broken toy, Caesar opened his eyes sharply.

"Kid! This bastard is blushing!"

Soon, as if he were shameless, he hid Leah in his arms and reported to Lucian.

At that moment, Lucian, who had been in reflective mode towards Harry, flashed his eyes and turned his head.

Dio, who had received the punishment of Caesar and Lucian, kept his mouth shut and broke into a cold sweat.

"How did this bastard steal the grace...?"

"A guy who doesn't even have dried blood on his head......!"

I blinked.

Before I knew it, Caesar and Lucian were surrounding Dio and pressuring him to survive.

Dio looked like he was going to cry at any moment. He looked at me and gaped at her for help. There was no way those two guys could have missed that.

"Who is it whispering to now!"

"Dio, it's been a while since we sparred, right? Should we spar for the first time in a while?"

"Ugh! Please stop! What did I do so wrong to make such a fuss?"

Dio was so excited that he hid behind me. Then, Caesar's eyes changed into dragon-like pupils, and Lucian's face changed into that of a murderer.

In the end, I, who couldn't do anything, came forward.

"Stop. Dio didn't do somethin' wrong."

"It's a crime to blush when I see you!"

"You looked at Leah with sinister eyes."

"Who is this sneaky? Do you want to criticize your friend like that?"

Dio, frustrated, screamed, but Lucian snorted. Dio lamented that he felt sorry for himself for calling that person his friend.
