SPMB - Chapter 161

SPMB - Chapter 161

My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone

Since she got what she wanted, Kanna no longer had any regrets. As she lifted herself up, Orsini grabbed Kanna's wrist.

"Don't go."

Is it already starting to take effect?

His vision becomes blurry and his grip becomes weak.

Orsini let out a hot breath and spoke again.

“Don’t go, Kanna.”

His body leans over the sofa. His vision wavered. But Orsini stubbornly held on to her wrist.

At that moment, their eyes met.

With disdainful black eyes that are as annoying as looking at trash.

"Put it away."

Kanna roughly shook his hand away.

That was enough. His hand, which had grabbed her and grabbed his last bit of consciousness, fell as helplessly as a straw.

Finally his eyes close.

"You damn bastard."

Kanna turned around without any hesitation. She put the bundle over her shoulder and left her room.

***

Sylvien Valentino narrowed his eyebrows.

"What do you mean?"

The previous butler was fired and a new one was hired.

But was this butler also a simpleton?

Such nonsense.

"Rumors about nobility are rampant. Are you planning to tell everyone who hears that?"

"Okay, Sir, that is...."

"Go out and try."

The butler tried to say more but was unable to disobey his command and took a step back.

Bam.

The door was closed.

Still, Sylvien's mood did not improve. It was natural.

Because he heard a very nonsensical rumor about an important report.

'That can't be possible.'

Kanna is dead. She even committed suicide.

Sylvien let out an unpleasant sigh and flipped through the documents.

That day, after arguing with Kanna, Sylvien erased her from his mind.

It was very easy. Because he had nothing to do with her anymore anyway.

But once in a while, when it came up like this, it bothered him like a tumor.

It was then.

Knock knock.

There was a knock on the door again.

"Your Excellency, I'm sorry, but..."

He's a butler again. Sylvien laughed awkwardly as he read the document. Should he cut it and get a new one this time?

"A messenger came from the Addis family announcing the death."

What?

Sylvien's gaze slowly rose, he asked, looking at the door.

"What are they announcing? "

"Obituary..."

The butler barely spoke.

"This is the obituary of the Kanna Addis."

Tuk.

The documents fell from Sylvien's grasp.

***

Kanna's funeral was held.

The chapel of Addis Mansion. Colorful beams of light from the tall stained glass pour down on the black coffin.

Sylvien stopped in front of the coffin.

Inside the black coffin, Kanna was asleep, buried among pure white lowers.

Pure white dress with lace. Two hands are folded over the chest, and the bouquet of blue roses placed on them is pale.

Everything was pale.

The woman with ominously red lips and that intense color had turned completely white.

Her body seemed ready to shatter at any moment as if her burning soul had disappeared and only a shell remained.

Sylvien stared blankly at that face.

'She's dead.'

She's really dead. It was just that realization.

He couldn't think of anything like he was the world's biggest idiot. How long had he been standing so tall?

"Excuse me, Sir. I.."

Sylvien turned his head.

A girl with purple curly hair was looking up at him with a pale complexion.

"Are you by any chance His Excellency Duke Valentino?"

"That's right."

The girl's green eyes filled with tears.

"I hate you."

"..."

"Sister, you have to be nice to her just a little while she's alive... I really hate you."

Tears streamed down the girl's face.

"How much did she love the Duke?"

Her trembling hands desperately held onto the teddy bear.

"I hate all the people who treated my sister badly. I hope everyone gets punished!"

"Lucy!"

"Everyone should be punished. I hate everyone. I hate you all!"

As Lucy started crying and struggling, a woman with red hair hurriedly ran over to him.

She was Isabelle Addis.

"I'm sorry, Your Excellency. Lucy is so shocked..."

"No. It's okay."

Isabelle's eyes opened wide at the answer.

His voice was surprisingly smooth. It felt like he was in another world, unrelated to this tragedy.

Isabelle looked up blankly at Sylvien Valentino. Even at moments like these, he was as beautiful as a statue. There wasn't a single scratch.

"...Aren't you sad, Your Excellency?"

Isabelle's lips trembled.

How can he?

How can he be so calm and weak when someone is dead? How can he not change his complexion at all?

But Isabelle gritted her teeth. But she knows. She has no right to say this. Because she is the same.

No, maybe she's even more vicious than his.

Isabelle stared at Kanna, who was sleeping forever in the coffin.

Isabelle should have at least said sorry. When Kallen orders her to apologize, she at least pretends she can't win.

Why didn't she say anything until the end?

Tears welled up in Isabelle's eyes.

Really, Kanna was a stupid older sister her whole life.

Her younger sister had been bullying Kanna since she was young. Kanna reached out to Isabelle when everyone else turned away because she thought she was pretty.

When she couldn't leave the mansion for several months and even pretended not to know her mother, Kanna was the only one who understood her feelings.

It was her sister who got angry at Kallen, and it was her sister who relieved her of her restraint.

'Stupid sister.'

Kanna really is an idiot. How much Isabelle tormented her older sister, but she fell for being so nice as an idiot.

But it was already too late.

Words of apology and gratitude were now possible only in dreams.

When Isabelle began to cry, Sylvien stepped back.

And then he found an old man sitting on the edge of a chair.

No. no. It wasn't an old man.

It was Kalen Addis.

In just a few days, his flame-like hair had turned gray.

As Sylvien approached, he raised his head. Completely empty eyes. As he met eyes that seemed to have had his soul ripped out, a sense of reality washed over him like a wave.

Sylvien spoke out the words he had been harboring all along.

"Lord Kalen, this is strange. Kanna is not a woman who would commit suicide."

This is a woman who burned with a thirst for life.

That woman killed herself. That doesn't make sense.

"That can't be possible. She must have been murdered by someone else. Did you do your research correctly?"

"... Killing?"

The white-haired young man quietly recited the words. Then he giggled.

"Yes, that's right. I killed my sister."

"Lord Kalen, what do you mean?"

"She didn't commit suicide. I killed her."

Kalen lowered his head, and his eerily white hair fell over his forehead. The green eyes were empty.

Kanna is dead.

Right in front of him, she stabbed herself in the chest with a dagger as if to show off.

Kalen still remembered the blood flowing like a fountain at that moment.

Her screams, the scent of her blood, everything was so clear that it felt like he was still on that beach. The black waves blew in the night wind, in front of Kanna, who was bleeding and falling down.

She was clearly alive, moving, and talking.

She died in an instant.

"I killed her."

He loved Kanna so much.

Kalen was greedy for the black hair, eyes, cheeks, lips, bridge of the nose, and even a wisp of breath. He wanted to have it all.

That's love?

Was that disgusting excretion of dirty emotions really love?

Kalen stared at the black coffin and shed hot tears.

What is love?

He doesn't know because he's never tried it.

He had never worshiped or longed for someone so much, so he thought this was love. But is this really love?

Isn't love a feeling that makes you happy?

But his love was ruined. He presented himself and herself with an irreparable catastrophe.

This terrible thing is called love?

Kalen doesn't know.

The only clear thing is that everything is his fault.

If he was given one more chance, he would never do that. He will never do anything she doesn't want to do again.

Kalen could never be greedy and just live his life wishing for her happiness.

If only she stayed alive...

But she died.

She died. Kalen killed her.

"I killed her. My sister was murdered."

I'm happy that they felt sorry about what they did to Kanna in the past. It's better to be late than never..
