ICTV - Chapter 29

I Changed The Villain

"Well."

It's a long-awaited golden free time. Of course, they usually let their children freely, but they can't help but feel a sense of freedom when their parents are not at home.

“Just getting over a day like today. I also regret it.”

“Right? Invite your friends too. How about this?”

“You know I don’t have any friends. The person I want to invite is…”

Oh, there it is. Rose thought of Belial. Rose immediately had Mera get paper and a pen.

“Belial said he was busy today, but I don’t know if he will be able to come.”

“You have to make the most of it. Should I send it once?"

Belial must be busy looking at documents filled with text right now. It’s obvious even if you don’t look at it. Even if I can’t give him a paper full of writing, I will write this as simply as possible.

Rose wrote just one sentence on the paper.

'My parents aren't home today, but if you want to come, please come.'

Oh, I should also write that my brother isn't home. It reminded me of Belial and Beryl, who growl every time they meet. I need to let him know that he can just relax and not have to fight Beryl this time.

Rose added one sentence.

'P.S: By the way, my brother is also gone camping and is not there.'

“It’s done.”

Rose folded the paper in half.

“Seems it to him.”

“Yes, miss. Will I have to wait for a reply as I go?”

"It's okay. He said he was swamped today. I'm not sure when I'll get a reply. Just hand the letter to the butler and come back.”

“I’ll keep that in mind, Lady.”

And within an hour, Belial rode up on horseback and made Rose wonder. For your information, I only gave you a letter.

Mera was enjoying a bubble bath at the Serenity family's mansion.

“Didn’t you say you were busy?”

“It’s okay if I take care of urgent matters and come back tomorrow.”

“What about Mera?”

“I heard that she has something to discuss at length with the maids who work in my mansion. I asked her to stay at my mansion just for today.”

"Oh..."

Mera and the maids of the Serenity family were also close. Rose, convinced, stretched out her arms to Belial. Belial, who was taking off his outer clothes, also stretched out his arms.

"Rose."

Belial hugged Rose. Just as the rabbit in the wolf's maw disappears in an instant, Rose in Belial's arms also disappears in an instant. This was due to the significant difference in size between the two.

Rose raised her head with her nose buried in Belial's torso. Blue eyes as deep as a lake were looking at Rose carefully.

“Belial.”

Belial, who was not smiling, was like a glacier floating on the sea, so dangerous that it was hard to even touch it, but it also gave off a wonderful feeling.

But… Rose whispered faintly.

“I didn’t mean to give you a hug, I meant to give you a coat.”

“… Yes?"

See, if I just say one word, he turns into this cute baby wolf. Rose cupped Belial's cheek.

“But you can hug me some more. I’m feeling cold.”

Belial rubbed his cheek against Rose's hand.

“I’m getting warmer thanks to Rose.”

“If you drink hot tea, you will feel warmer.”

“I prefer you, not the tea.”

I alone wouldn't be enough. Rose cupped Belial's cheek with her other hand.

“Then we’re all in my room together, covering ourselves with blankets.”

Belial's face quickly turned red. Rose quickly withdrew her hands. Because it was too hot.

“...Are you serious?”

“Why not? By the way.”

Rose looked at Belial’s red face. I tilted my head.

“You don’t look cold at all anymore.”

Belial clearly denied it.

"It is cold. I'm freezing to death."

It feels like he's dying from heat rather than freezing to death. Rose didn't understand but decided to just do as he wanted. It is said that when they become lovers, they resemble each other, and it seems that Belial has come to love beds and blankets as much as Rose.

From now on, we will be able to have many cozy dates indoors. It was a time when Rose's heart was pounding.

“Then let’s quickly go to the room.”

Belial hugged Rose. Walking was annoying, but it worked out well. Rose naturally hugged Belial's neck. I moved on Beryl's back yesterday, this ride was much better than before.

“Where are the other maids and servants?”

Whenever Rose had trouble walking, Belial noticed a ghost and hugged her like this. Of course, it wasn't difficult now, but I didn't ask Belial to get off. Because today I felt comfortable in Belial’s arms. Rose answered, already feeling drowsy.

“I was cornered because they were playing poker. Belial, I guess they were so absorbed that they didn't even notice you were there. Should I tell them to say hello?"

Belial let out a small laugh.

"No. That's it. Greetings are not important.”

“Still, would you like to take a look? They're having fun."

Is it fun? Belial became puzzled. Poker was a game commonly played even by the servants of his mansion. It didn't seem particularly fun.

Belial followed Rose's recommendation and headed to the room where the maids were gathered. The door happened to be slightly open.

“Then let’s go somewhere.”

Belial used the gap to look into the room. Maids were sitting at a round table. Becky, who was sitting in the middle, raised her eyebrows and threw away the card she was holding.

“Straight flush (a hand made up of 5 consecutive numbers of the same suit)·"

Ah, the maids all screamed and threw away their cards.

“Just spend the money, spend the money!!”

“Hey, you cheated, right? There’s no way you can win five times in a row!”

Becky just raised her glasses and spoke arrogantly.

“What a fraud. I just have luck on my side when I gamble.”

“Why are you really working here?

"What? That’s because I love you. Now, give me the money quickly.”

The maids took out their money with gloomy faces. Becky took the money like a knife. She started shuffling the cards again. Belial stroked his chin with very precise and quick movements.

“That maid is not ordinary either. Where did you get that maid from? Illegal gambling that is operated in secret.”

“In the gambling house.”

The tone was calm, but the content was shocking. Belial also knew of the existence of a gambling house operated with nobles as its main customers. People laughed at me for throwing money away in such a place when I had nothing to do, but the innocent Rose went there.

What will Belial say?

It was a time when I was thinking about it.

“Oh, I didn’t go there to gamble. I was following my brother."

Beryl's friend, Jeff, got into gambling because of a family feud. Beryl believed that if a friend went astray, he had to correct him, even if it meant hitting him. Beryl immediately went out with a bow and dagger, and Rose followed to watch and help report the incident.

“My brother didn’t want to take me to that place, but he had no choice. The more witnesses the better.”

It's a sight to behold. Why do you visit a place like that? Rose, You are a person who only sees good things and it is not enough.

“There are so many beautiful tourist attractions in the Avalon Empire, but in such a rough place...”

Rose retorted before Belial even finished speaking.

“But it’s the only place where you can see the words of nobles who threw away their status and dignity in front of money.”

"..."

“When the knights arrived, I was completely confused. They say that you can only see the nobles doing things there. Belial, you probably know. How fun it is to watch something like that.”

But. It's really ugly and funny to see nobles throwing away the dignity they value so much and begging when they're cornered. This time, it wasn't wrong, so Belial couldn't refute it.

“If I get the chance, I would like to visit other gambling places. The place I went to was a place that treated nobles in its own way, but if all the money was spent, it was treated equally for both nobles and commoners. There are places where they steal and evict people.”

“...How can I stop you from doing what you want? Instead, I hope you will take me with you then.”

“If you’re not busy then.”

Belial closed the door completely so the maids could concentrate on playing poker. Belial corrected Rose and hugged her.

“Let’s go to the room quickly.”

"Yes..."

Rose's speech slowly began to slacken, perhaps at the limit. Belial hurried to Rose's room. I look at the bed.

I cheered as soon as I saw it.

“I also can’t live without you. I missed you so much.”

“You should say those things to me, not to the bed.”

Belial laid Rose on the bed. Red hair was scattered on the sheets. Rose pulled back the blanket and gestured to him.

“Come here.”

“...Can I really lie down too?”

“That’s why you came to my room. No?"

“That’s right.”

The day when Belial defeats Rose with words will probably never come in his lifetime. Belial also tried to climb onto the bed but stopped.

“Why are you doing this?”

“No, I think I’m too dirty to be in your bed.”

Belial spoke politely.

“If you give permission, I will clean myself in the bathroom.”

“There is no need to ask permission. The bathroom is over there. By the way, are you going to change your clothes too?”

“I would like to if possible.”

“Let’s see. A shirt and pants you can wear…”

What do we do? The bed is already letting go of me. It doesn't work. Rose suggested.

“There are robes in the bathroom, right? Why don’t you just wear that?”

“...If you tell me where it is, I will take it out and put it on myself.”

"No. There is none.”

Rose used her superhuman will to get up. And then I said as I headed out into the cold again.

“You see. Belial. I do this for you.”

“Thank you for being there for me. Rose, I’m so happy I’m crying.”

“Hurry up and take a shower.”

Rose searched Beryl's room and pulled out the largest shirt and pants. This should be just right. Rose lifted the clothes and left it in front of the bathroom door.

“I’ll leave a change of clothes here.”

“Thank you, Rose.”

Rose lay down on the bed again and tried to sleep. A moment later, Belial came out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel. Belial, who was sitting in front of the dressing table and thoroughly drying his hair, looked back at the bed. Looking at the bulging blanket, it was clear that Rose was sleeping in that bed, but strangely enough, there was no sound.

Belial, who was fully prepared, stood up. And then, killing as many signs as possible, he approached the bed. But he didn't lie down right away.

He just leaned his upper body on the floor and stared at Rose endlessly.

It was a dark room with not a candle lit, but Belial could see. Lips as red as her hair, and Rose's chest rising and falling regularly. Belial bowed his head. Their faces got closer. Belial was so close that he could feel Rose's breath as he pronounced the name of the one he loved so much.

"Rose."

Rose still closed her eyes and only moved her lips.

“Why, Belial?”

Belial asked, still keeping his face close to Rose.

“Why do you like sleeping so much?”

Damn it! I expected something romantic in this Chapter. But what have I got?

Really, Rose was absurd! Lol
