IDMH - Chapter 15

I Decided My Husband

"It's really okay, right?"

"Yes?"

"The subjugation of Pushik."

The eyes looking at me trembled slightly.

"We really can come back safely, right?"

It was the same with the hand that held my arm.

Oh, really. I knew Chernosor was a coward, but I never thought it would be like this. I looked at him silently, trying to suppress the ridicule that came naturally to me, but Chernosor hurriedly made an excuse.

"I'm fine, but I'm worried about the Young Lady. The number of Pushiks was small, and the Lady knew the Pushiks' weaknesses, so you were able to defeat them safely."

What? Doesn't he know that I personally killed Pushik?

Even though he was unconscious like an idiot at the time, I was surprised that the escort knights didn't tell me.

Although I asked them to keep my ability to use a sword a secret from others. Still, I thought I would tell Chernosor.

"This time. I'm going to a den full of Pusiks, so I'm worried that there might be trouble. Oh, of course, I'm worried about the Young Lady, not me, haha."

"Do not worry. I will be safe."

Probably not you.

As I swallowed those words and smiled brightly, Chernosor also smiled, as if he finally felt relieved.

***

The next day, early morning.

As soon as the sun rose, we left the castle to catch Pushik.

Count Martina, who heard that I was going together, objected, saying it was dangerous, but Chernosor strongly pushed for it.

"You don't have to worry. Lady Leopold, because I will protect you no matter what happens."

Who is protecting whom? It was so absurd that it was absurd.

Does Chernosor know nothing about his subject?

Chernosor insisted so strongly that Count Martina had no choice but to step down. Instead, they assigned me some escorts.

Although it was a bit cumbersome to carry around a bunch of escorts, I accepted this plan because the more onlookers the better.

I did, but I never thought they would attach five bodyguards. It was too much to think that it was because Count Martina did not know my swordsmanship skills.

As I glanced at the escorts following me, Chernosor, who was walking right next to me, spoke closely in a low voice.

"I asked Count Martina to attach many knights as guards."

"His Royal Highness himself?"

"Yes. I think it will be safer for you this way."

No, it's probably for your safety. Even if they are my guards, if Chernosor and I are in danger at the same time, they will most likely save him, the Prince of the empire. There are ten dedicated escorts in Cherno, but that doesn't seem to be enough to give them peace of mind.

"I see. Thank you for your concern for me, Your Highness."

"No."

Chernoser smiled proudly.

"It's natural for me to worry about you. The Young Lady will be..."

In the future?

"Well, it's nothing."

I think he was trying to say something very unpleasant but swallowed it. When I looked up, Chernosor looked the other way.

"Your Highness!"

Just as Count Martina was looking for him, Chernosor moved away.

Nike's unique sweet scent remained strong where he passed.

You are holding the sachet I gave you properly. Good. Everything is going according to plan.

While I was smiling with satisfaction, Sir Aldor approached me.

"You gave the sachet you made yourself to His Royal Highness."

"Do you know that I will be making sachets?”

"I assumed it was because the ingredients you wrote on the note were commonly used to make sachets."

"Ah, so you didn't ask anything. Except for just one thing."

I laughed silently because I felt like I knew right away what that one thing was. Sir Aldor narrowed his eyes and asked in a low voice.

"What on earth are you planning, Lady?"

"It's no big deal. Just a little prank?"

"Miss."

"Do not worry. His Highness will not be harmed in the slightest."

"Body" is the word. What I was hurting was his spirit.

Sir Aldor looked at me with eyes full of worry, then sighed deeply and said.

"You should never overdo it."

"Okay."

"If anything dangerous happens, please call me right away."

"Yes."

"I'm always on your side. I'm not leaving. No matter what happens, I'm on your side."

Ah. Why are you shaking my mind by saying something similar to that time?

So, my second life was when I married Sir Aldor.

When I found out that the Emperor was planning to kill him because I married him, I told Sir Aldor to leave now. Then Sir Aldor shook his head resolutely and said: No matter what happens, I'm on your side.

"Miss?"

That incident came to mind and I couldn't take my eyes off Sir Aldor. The fact that I had killed such an honest and good person with my own hands stuck in my heart like a dagger and I could not let it go. Should I tell him to leave Duke Leopold's house right now?

As expected, I thought it would be better for Sir Aldor, so I was about to bring up the story, but he suddenly pulled out his sword.

"Sir Aldor?"

"It's Pushik."

When I looked back at those words. I saw a group of Pushiks. I can't tell exactly how many there are because the view is blocked by the dense trees, but at best, it seems like there are more than ten. I saw that there was a baby Pushik among them, so I was certain that there was a Pushik den nearby.

"Pusic's weak spot is between the eyebrows!"

Chernosor raised his sword high and shouted. His sword reflected the sunlight and sparkled.

"Just attack between the eyes!"

Stupid guy. No matter how bad Pushik's eyes were, it wasn't to the point where they couldn't see such a shiny sword. Moreover, while everyone was holding their breath. Chernosor was the only one screaming loudly, so the Pusiks all looked towards Chernosor.

"..."

Chernosor realized late that he had made a mistake and hurriedly lowered his sword.

I got off the horse with my lips clenched so hard that my muscles protruded. When Count Martina, who was next to him. looked at him somewhat puzzled,  Chernosor cleared his throat and said:

"Well, after all, I'm not good at horseback fighting."

"I see."

Count Martina looked at the Chernosor with subtle eyes and gave an order to the knights.

"As His Highness said, Pushik's weak point is between the eyebrows. Everyone, target the area between the eyebrows!"

After hearing Count Martina's orders, the knights moved in unison and rushed towards Pushik.

When Sir Aldor tried to fight Pushik, I pulled his arm.

"This way."

Then he hid behind a tree near Chernosor.

"Why are you hiding here?"

"There is such a thing. If you do this, you won't be caught."

After checking thoroughly, I peeked my head out and looked towards Chernosor. Before I knew it, the guard knights had surrounded Chernosor in layers like a castle wall, so he was no longer visible.

It doesn't matter though. That wall will collapse soon anyway. Let's prepare before that. I tied my cumbersome hair into a high ponytail.

Wow!

 "It's finally started."

As the Pusiks shouted in excitement, they held out their hands to Sir Aldor, who was standing there without any understanding.

"Please lend me your sword, Lord Aldor."

***

In battle, the commander-in-chief rarely fought directly. Usually, I just planned strategies and gave commands behind the scenes.

It was the soldiers who risked their lives in a bloody fight, but when the battle was won, people only remembered the name of the commander-in-chief.

Apart from family members, there was no one who remembered the names of soldiers who risked their lives while fighting. That was exactly what Chernosor was aiming for. He knew Pushik's weaknesses and had a numerical advantage, so he planned to only give appropriate Instructions while being protected by the knights behind him. Kuehhh!

"....!!"

But for some reason, the Pushiks ignored the others and rushed toward Chernosor all at once.

"Your Highness the Prince!"

The guard knights tried to restrain the Pushiks, but it was not enough. Because the Pushiks attacked only Chernoser, the defense shield, which seemed sturdy, collapsed in an instant.

Kuch, kuehhh-

As he watched the Pushiks running wild like colts. Chernoser's face turned pale as he remembered what happened when he came to Matina's estate.

However, the reason I was able to endure it without fainting at that time was because there were many eyes watching. Chernosor tried to keep his composure and looked for Adele because he knew he would become a laughingstock.

'It's all because of her!'

If that woman hadn't said such nonsense, this wouldn't have happened!

She said it would be okay, but what on earth is okay? If he meets Adele, he won't leave her alone.

While he was looking for me with that determination, Count Martina shouted urgently.

"Your Highness the Prince!"

"!!"

Chernosor, who was looking for Adele and found Pushik running towards him, swung his sword.

Kacang-

However, it could not pierce Pushik's hard skin. Moreover, because his posture of holding the sword was sloppy, the sword Chernosor was holding flew away.

Kueeeeek-

Pushik, who was even more excited after being hit by the sword, raised his huge front paw and Chernosor fell to the floor.

The seat he sat on became damp.

At the same time, someone came out from behind the tree and stabbed Pusik right between the eyes with the sword.

"I've told you this several times. Pushik's weak point is between the eyebrows."

Her hair, tied high in a ponytail was shaking.

"What if I tell you but you can't put it into practice?"

Adele placed one foot on top of the helpless Pushik and looked down at Chernosor with very sad eyes.
