SPMB - Chapter 45

Kanna handed the Empress an armful of medicine to temporarily relieve her pain.

"Thank you. I will spare no effort to help you with your research."

The Empress repeatedly thanked her and left a promise to invest in research. Kanna requested all the medicinal materials of the eastern continent.

"Okay, let's send someone out right away."

That's how this medicine room was created. Kanna smiled proudly as she looked at the huge cabinet that occupied one side of the lab. All kinds of medicines are stored in it.

'I got almost all of the eastern continent's medicines. I don't have to ask someone else to help you from now on.'

Then she went to Amelia and explained her affair with the Empress.

"You really did?"

Upon hearing the story, Amelia looked disbelieving.

"Yes."

"It seems Her Majesty was really in a hurry to fall to the floor like that."

Amelia laughed sarcastically.

"The person who is so rude to me not to scratch myself in front of people even if I bite the flesh in my mouth."

She tossed everything up and down on her knees and cried uncontrollably. Not being able to see that was the worst of it.

"Anyway, thank you very much. I lived thanks to the Duchess."

Kanna just smiled without answering.

'I know it well."

She was right. Amelia would have died had it not been for her.

In the meantime, as a result of collecting and examining all plant encyclopedias, as expected. The plant that poisoned the Princess was not recorded. It was clear that it was a plant that had not been officially discovered in the eastern continent.

So even if Amelia had died, we would never have been able to figure out why.

'And I almost took on the blame. What would have happened by now if Amelia hadn't shown the herbal tea?'

Just thinking about it sent chills down her spine.

"As promised, I won't tell anyone about the drugs."

A drug that slows the heart rate. Amelia promised to keep it secret. It will have no choice but to be. If she confessed, it would be revealed that she had played with the Empress in the palm of her hand.

'Now they're on the same boat as me."

"And about that senator,"

"..."

"Ah yes."

Lawmaker. At those words, Kanna straightened her back.

"I was stripped of my position and kicked out of the capital."

"Honestly. I'm glad it ended that way."

Kanna lowered her head without speaking. This situation was resolved as a misdiagnosis by the lawmaker.

Amelia only fainted for a moment, but the mistake of the doctor who mistook it for death increased the work.

It is so known.

'Sir. I'm sorry. Please think of it as saving a person."

Amelia said the same thing, hesitantly.

"But don't worry. Because I anonymously delivered money that you couldn't earn even if you worked as a member of the council for the rest of your life. You will be able to live without working until the day you die."

"I'm glad then..."

"I have no regrets. Because I was just struggling to live. In that sense, the senator helped save my life."

Kanna smiled bitterly at Amelia's words.

It was then.

"Your Highness the Princess, Prince Crescent has come to visit you."

At the servant's words, Amelia frowned.

"Madam, would it be all right if I let Crescent go inside?"

" I am okay."

"Good. Come on, bring him inside!"

The door opens and a blond young man enters. It was the second prince, Crescent Isabuck.

He smiled and said hello.

"Sister, are you feeling well?"

"As you can see."

"I was very worried. May I sit down?"

But Amelia wouldn't allow it. She interrogated instead, narrowing her yes.

"I heard the story from the Duchess. Didn't you give her the antidote before the Duchess was taken away?"

It was.

Crescent apparently gave the antidote, saying this would save Kanna and his sister.

"Did you even know in advance that I would be poisoned?"

Then Crescent raised a corner of his mouth and smiled.

"I knew Mother tried to poison your sister."

Momentarily, silence fell.

Amelia's face hardened. Crescent asked calmly.

"May I sit down, Sister?"

"Sit down."

Crescent sat next to Kanna with a gentle gesture. He sighs as he leans his body on the armrest.

"It is as I said. My mother tried to poison my sister."

"..."

"I was busy trying to stop it in my own way, but my mother was so skillful in stopping it.

"..."

"My sister may not have known it, but since the Duchess took over the treatment, no one was allowed to enter her palace without mother's permission."

This was a story she didn't know. Amelia also opened her eyes wide as if this was the first time she heard it.

"I couldn't have someone give me a word in advance, and I couldn't deliver the antidote. Of course, I couldn't go myself either. That's why I tried to meet the Duchess under the guise of a coincidence."

"..."

"But it was too late. I'm sorry I couldn't be of any help, Sister."

But Amelia didn't react right away.

She clenched her fists, not knowing whether to be angry, pretend not to know, or pretend to be surprised.

"What are you going to do, Sister?"

"What?"

"If you want, I can be your witness."

Was it an unexpected word? Amelia opened her mouth.

"Are you going to report it to His Majesty the Emperor?"

"..."

"I will follow your will."

No...

Kanna almost shook her head without realizing it. Don't trust him, she wanted to shout at Amelia.

'No, it's a lie. It can't be."

She wondered why it came out like that, but now she saw it.

Crescent is now testing Amelia. He was trying to figure out how she would respond to the Empress in the future.

'He is here to cut the buds.'

He must have been thinking of finding out if Amelia had any plans to get revenge on the Empress and put out the embers.

Isn't it obvious?

To Crescent, the Empress was the most reliable support.

'I heard that the Empress's family is very powerful."

The Empress came from the family of the Marquis of Mercy.

What kind of family is Mercy?

It is a prestigious family that has produced numerous Empresses. In addition, it is dominating the continent with enormous wealth.

The current head of Mercy was the younger brother of the Empress, and he had a deep friendship with the Empress, supporting her no matter what her will was. If the Empress were to be blamed.

'Not only the Empress but also Mercy will be hit. If that happens. Crescent's supporters will also be cracked.'

It was a spider web that you could see if you rolled your head a little.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Crescent."

Thank God od.

Kanna let out a sigh of relief. As if Amelia wasn't stupid either, she let go of her pretense.

"I can't believe Her Majesty is trying to poison me. She can't understand what the hell she's talking about."

"Is that so?"

However, Crescent raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Okay. Wherever you go, don't talk like that. I'm afraid someone will hear it."

"I'm sorry, Sister. It looks like I was wrong."

Having said that. Crescent looked satisfied.

"You are very wise, Sister."

Kanna even added that......

 'Imperial people, what a mess.'

Kanna watched the siblings with devastated eyes.

The Princess and the Prince play tug-of-war while hiding their true intentions. Despite being brothers and sisters, they distrust each other like that.

'Haha, the Empress tried to kill her real daughter. It was clear that the people of the imperial family were ice men without blood or tears.'

At this point, it was surprising that Crescent had delivered the antidote to save Amelia.

'Yes. I tried to save Amelia even though she was useless to Crescent."

Does he still have a conscience because he is young?

As Kanna was thinking about that, she suddenly felt a gaze.

Crescent was staring at Kanna.
