TPITT - Chapter 214

'Where did you hear that sound like you were going to vomit?'

I took a deep breath to control the pottery.

After thinking it over calmly, I decided to try the method I had used to defeat the noblemen at the palace masquerade ball.

“I’m a married woman with two children.”

But I took the level of the guests here too lightly.

“Oh, that’s great. I’m a married man with a family!”

“What? It’s okay...?"

“Isn’t an affair more thrilling?! Come on! Let’s go, Ma’am!”

I almost forgot about elegance and nobility and called him a 'crazy man'.

Finally shaking off my despair, I looked around to see what the reaction was. To my surprise, the noblemen who had been targeting me before were all chattering in unison, lamenting their missed opportunities.

“Hah."

Unlike the Imperial Society, which was open but still kept to certain standards, there was no such thing as a minimum standard here.

"For a moment."

At this point, my response became bolder. I clenched my fists and smiled brightly.

“Let’s all go together. It’s much more exciting when we do it together.”

“You know something, Ma’am!”

They were ecstatic.

With that, I took the crazed men into a room built into the wall on the second floor. It was a secret room modeled after the Pearl Shell Room in the Imperial Palace.

As soon as the curtains were drawn thickly, the noblemen began to disrobe with a gasp. That's when I  shoved the nearest man's upper torso onto the fluffy sheets.

“Lie down.”

“Haaah, ma’am! If you’re being so aggressive...! Haaung, heung...?”

Dump!

“Uh, uh uh..."

Thud! Thud!

All the nobles in the room, including the man I had pushed, lost consciousness and collapsed. It was a sleeping spell.

Half-naked men snored in unison.

I looked down at the hideous sight coldly, then raised one hand.

“I think you, who have neither integrity nor chastity, need to be punished.”

A cool light settled on the lower bodies of the noblemen. It was a terrifying magical light that would cut off the lineage of the family.

When I felt that an appropriate amount of time had passed, I opened the curtains and came out of the room.

“Phew."

I swept my bangs back with a proud and refreshed face, but somehow the gazes of those around me felt stinging.

'Oh my, oh my. She came out before the guys.'

'What an incredible stamina that even five men couldn't handle.'

'What family are you from... Cool.'

In fact, from the moment I walked into the room, past several men, there were many eyes on my stately figure.

'Oh, I made a mistake. I shouldn't have focused so much attention on me.'

It was only later that I slowly found a place to hide. Suddenly, the singing and music stopped, and the first floor began to run.

'What's going on?'

The commotion at the banquet hall was a recurring event, but this was the first time the music had been cut off.

I also felt something ominous and held onto the railing and looked down at the first floor. And then I had no choice but to open my eyes wide.

Because the person at the center of the commotion was none other than Limona.

“Oh my God, look who it is. Isn't that Limona Lund, the best singer in the capital? I thought she weren't coming to the social tonight?”

“Isn’t this all because she's so arrogant and full of herself thanks to the support of the Seventh Princess? It seems presumptuous.”

“On the topic of gypsies.”

“Look at that damn curly hair.”

Aristocrats who were heavily intoxicated with alcohol and drugs were targeting Limona and revealing their vile nature.

They crawled onto the amphitheater stage, ruined the performance, and harassed Limona. Instead of stopping them, the surroundings excitedly watched and even shouted encouragement.

Surrounded by the malice of the nobles, Limona could only bite her lips and stand defenseless.

'Those shameless bastards!'

I had to gather all my patience to resist the urge to go down to the first floor right away.

Meanwhile, the bullying continued at an escalating pace.

“Still, her face is quite fair, isn't it?” I heard that the 7th Princess has a taste for women's colors. I wonder if that's what she's trying to do with Limona Lund's patronage..."

'Wow, now you're bringing up old gossip and linking me and Limona to a scandal?'

It felt like the blood in my whole body was running cold. All the warmth was drained from my amber eyes.

Meanwhile, Limona's shoulders were shaking from the excessive insult and humiliation. She was still at her limit.

'Dirty people.'

It was a place she didn't want to come to from the beginning. It was a place she ended up coming to after being rejected over and over again.

The nobles of the Night Society have been persistently inviting Limona for a long time.

Despite repeated rejections, the invitation attempts that continued to come through the theater became obsessive.

Even with the gossip spreading across the capital, the subjects could not help but be aware of the political situation in which Eve and Brigitte, were at odds.

What's more, Limona was able to get a sense of the aristocracy's makeup by listening in on their salons and tea parties.

The members of the night's social circles were mainly noblemen or their cronies who supported Brigitte, and their reasons for inviting a singer under Eve's patronage were impure and malicious.

'I knew it would turn out like this.'

The nobility used dirty means. Last night, the Back Alley Guilds roughed up the Pegasus Troupe, kidnapping the Troupe's wilted, asparagus-like son and blackmailing him.

One look at the troupe leader's blue-eyed, tear-stained face and Limona knew she had to act, despite her fears.

She could endure the beatings and insults for a short while.

Before Limona joined the Pegasus Troupe, she starved a lot and got beaten a lot.

However, despite her determination, their verbal abuse easily crossed the threshold.

“If she’s the 7th Princess, she’s more than enough. She’s an outstanding figure even in this perverted royal family.”

The mention of Eve in that nauseating voice was hard to bear. Limona shook her head, shivering.

“Please do not speak ill of Her Highness the Princess.”

"What'?"

“Her Highness the Princess is not that kind of person.”

“Huh, do you see this?”

It was a rebuttal with all her might, but the nobles had an attitude of seeing nothing but a trivial matter.

“Do you think the protection of the Seventh Princess will work here too? Don’t be mistaken.”

“That won’t do. An insolent house poet like you needs to be educated.”

The nobles' eyes flashed vulgarly. The atmosphere was turning dangerous.

It was at this point that Eve, looking down at this, put more strength into her hands holding the railing.

"Your Highness."

“...Alben?”

A lone call awakened my spirit. I turned my head and saw a despicable face grinning at me.

“I found them all!”

"Ha."

I found myself laughing as if sighing without realizing it.

“Alben.”

“Yes, Your Highness!”

“You have great timing. That’s why I favor you.”

“Oh, I’m so touched!”

While Alben curled up into a ball, I dragged a nearby stool over to the railing and placed it in front of him, then stomped my foot on it.

“Then I’ll be off.”

I immediately cast a levitation spell and jumped over the second-floor railing.

“Kneel down!”

The timing was perfect. Limona was forced to her knees by her captors. A cold bottle of white wine and an ice bucket were placed next to her.

A middle-aged nobleman approached Limona carrying a bucket of ice water.

Limona gritted her teeth, anticipating the biting cold.

At that moment, I stood in front of Limona.

“Is it noble manners to harass a lady?”

“What are you?”

The nobles surrounded me, annoyed as if I had spoiled the fun.

“Do you want to be embarrassed?”

“Who are you to come out here?”

I was not bothered by the intimidation. I willingly agreed to answer the questions.

“Who are you? Don’t you know me?”

The silver half-mask was removed from my graceful fingertips.

“Evienrose Chloell Hadelamide.”

“7, 7th Princess?!”

I waved my hands in the air in disbelief. Then a gust of wind rattled the windows as a gust of wind ripped through the ceiling.

Break!

The windows on the upper floors shattered in unison. And that was the signal that brought a group of people into the mansion.

Armed knights in wine-colored uniforms. They were the Knights of Punishment, led by Michael.

“Hey!”

The nobles were horrified to see the homunculus rally around me, having overpowered the manor's guards. From the center of it all, I surveyed the banquet hall with cold eyes.

The nobles bowed their heads before this winged man, who was armed not only with the power of the royal family but also with the military might of the knights.

I opened my mouth to address the middle-aged nobleman who was standing there awkwardly holding a bucket of ice water.

“What a fun game you’re playing.”

“That, that...!”

“First, take off that mask and be polite.”

"Oh, I'm sorry! I'm meeting the 7th, 7th Princess!"

The other person showed his face and hesitated awkwardly to show respect.

It was Viscount Rusiol, one of Count Hardenfolk's closest associates.
