RAMHM - Chapter 20 < Most Cruel And Miserable >

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!”

The diary that had slipped out of my hands rolled mercilessly across the carpet. I glared at it as if it were my mortal enemy. If there had been a fire in the fireplace, I would have thrown it in without a second thought!

“Madam! What’s going on?”

"Lady!!"

Suddenly, the maids start to knock on the door. The vibrations, which get stronger and stronger, are transmitted directly to my heart like a kick, and it feels like it is being trampled.

“Noevian Trovica!”

I couldn't hold it in anymore and shouted. I lifted my trembling hands and looked straight at them. With these hands, I could have written such words. I planned to kill myself with my husband!

“Noevian Trovica, Noevian Trovica!!”

My throat is torn, and blood is gushing. It wasn't just that he wanted to have a government. Noevian Trovica, the man I loved and who loved me. The gentleman who cried so much at the funeral...

He killed me!

He who knew better than anyone how much I wanted to live, how much I wanted to be healthy!

'I also want to get well soon and become your strength.'

'Adrienne, your very presence gives me strength.'

How dare you say that...!

“Madam! Madam!!”

“Noah, Noah, Noah!!”

I threw everything I could get my hands on in a betrayal that was too much to bear. It was the first violent act I had ever done in my life. If I didn’t do this, my heart would burst first. The vase full of pink roses, Blie’s favorite, shattered without mercy. Outside, the maids stomped their feet and knocked on the door harder. The sound was like drums that stirred up my emotions even more. I stomped on the already broken pieces of the vase with my shoes. Until the pieces were crushed into dust.

“Noevian, Noevian, how could you! How could you!!”

Even the maids of this household, who were not familiar with the social world, and Count Acacia, whose only land was a small piece of land in the outskirts, knew and told her. This Blie Acacia was his mistress. This body was his secret love.

'I never trust anyone's words until you tell me yourself. Is this the price I pay for trusting you?'

I held tightly in my hand the pink rose stems scattered all over the bedroom and knocked on the door where the maids were knocking.

“Everyone, get out of here! Stay away from me! Don’t come near me!”

“Madam! What on earth is going on?”

“Get out! Get out! Don’t come near me!!”

Thud! Thud!

Rose petals were flying everywhere, crushing under my feet. I felt a sense of destruction, thinking that anyone who opened the door could do this. The maids’ footsteps, which had been noisy for a moment, grew distant. I leaned my back against the door and sank down. The door was so cold against my back that it gave me goosebumps. At the same time, my hands which had been tightly holding the rose stems began to tingle.

“Ugh...ugh...”

Tears were pouring out like nausea, but I held onto the fallen roses tighter. Blood was slowly seeping out of my palm, which was deeply pricked by the sharp thorns.

“Euuuuugh...!”

With the healthy body of the government that my husband had hidden, I hurt myself to my heart's content. My heart was pounding, and my head was full of mud, but I crawled with bleeding hands to the full-length mirror. In the clean mirror, Blie Acacia was reflected. Her wavy, sensual black hair was tangled in a mess, and her makeup was smudged here and there from how much she had cried. She looked exactly the same, but it was clearly not me, but a woman looking at me with that kind of look.

“Blie.”

Of course, this body did not respond. It just looked at me and howled like a wounded beast.

“Blie. What the hell are you? What the hell are you, what are you...!”

I cried again, looking at her appearance. It was a cry that seemed to vomit out my insides. Only after I had sobbed until my healthy body was completely exhausted, and only after I heard the worried maids finally finding the key to open the bedroom door, did I feel that even the slightest pity I had for her had disappeared.

“...You can never return to this body.”

Apart from Noevian, I have a little bit of guilt about having this healthy body. It wasn't something I planned, and I didn't know how my soul came into this body, but I vaguely thought of the real Blie. Where is her soul now? Is she losing her healthy body and living in a body like the old Adrienne, in terrible pain?

But I decided to throw away all such worries.

“Even if you ever come back... there is no longer a vessel to contain your soul. Do you understand?”

I didn't hesitate to spit out harsh words that surprised even me, right in her face. Her poisonous, turquoise eyes were staring straight at me in the mirror, their glazed appearances completely disheveled.

“Now you are... the real me.”

I am not a possessed person like the ones in books who deceive people or the sorcerers. God punished me for dying without knowing this shitty situation because He felt bad for me. I was reborn in the form I am used to. So this is reincarnation. This is an opportunity.

“This is reincarnation.”

I spat it out as if I was chewing. Blie Acacia looked at me with eyes like a yaksha.

“Now your body is truly mine.”

Now I am Blie. No matter how she sees me, I let it out as it came. And I let the tears flow like a faucet that was left on, and I smiled as if I was going crazy. Even if no one thought it was a smile, I thought it would be nice if even a part of Blie Acacia’s soul could go crazy seeing this.

The time of useless wandering and confusion was over. I still couldn’t believe Noevian’s betrayal, so I trembled all over, but at the same time, I thought about how I could betray and hurt him too. I wish he would hurt like me. Not just hurt because I left him or lied about loving someone else, but really hurt. I wish he would despair like me. I wish he would cry so hard that he would vomit out his guts like me.

I quit the academy halfway through. My grades weren’t that good either.

“Describe your feelings of being reincarnated as your husband’s mistress. (10 points).”

If the professors had given me such a question, I would have gotten a pretty good score.

It was much earlier than the time they had agreed to meet, but Rhodnes was leaning against the door of the Restaurant Zendica. He blinked in surprise at the appearance of Countess Acacia’s carriage, which was always punctual, and opened the carriage door. However, no matter how much he held out his hand, she did not come out of the carriage. Perhaps because they had met a little late due to work. Just like the outside, it was dark inside the carriage.

"Ma'am."

He furrowed his brows and called out, but Blie Acacia did not respond. Rhodnes looked into the carriage a little more. Countess Blie Acacia, who was sitting quietly with her hands on her knees, was trembling.

"Ma'am?"

Startled by the strange atmosphere, he looked around and quickly got into the carriage. When he closed the carriage door, Adjutant Vincenzo, who had been standing far away, stood guard in front of the carriage door. Blie, who had been looking down, finally raised her face slightly. Her face looked no different than usual, but her sparkling green eyes were dark and dead.

Rhodnes was so caught up in the unfamiliar feeling that he couldn’t even open his mouth and stared at her. Then, as the cold silence continued, he opened his eyes and began to examine her, but the atmosphere was not ordinary. Her hair seemed to have been hastily fixed. Her attire was a little disheveled. Her slender hands that trembled intermittently were slowly soaking her knees with blood.

Rhodnes lifted her hand without even thinking about asking for permission. Blie Acacia, who had been resisting weakly, finally showed her palm, perhaps realizing that she could not win by force.

“What is this?”

He asked with a slightly angry voice. Blie's face, bathed in sunset light, was completely wet when he looked closely. Her hand, which seemed to have been stabbed by something sharp and cut by something sharp, was spitting out blood without even basic treatment.

“What’s going on? What happened at the mansion?”

Did the old Count Acacia suddenly change his mind about wanting a divorce and treat his wife so cruelly? Or did Noevian Trovica know that Blie was planning a divorce and sent someone to do it?

Maybe the Count's annoying maids are harassing Blie, who is a commoner. While all sorts of thoughts are going through his head, the person in question is giving her hand to Rhodnes and looking down at it as if she were looking at someone else's hand.

“Is there something you need my help with? Please speak up.”

When he saw Blie, who had the same pale complexion as Adrienne, he felt impatient. Rhodnes quickly took out the handkerchief in his bosom and wrapped the small, wounded hand. Soon, a name came out of Blie’s plump, pale lips.

“Noevian...”

“...Did he make it like this?”

Then suddenly, Blie Acacia's eyes stared straight into his bright red ones.

“I want to kill Noevian Trovica.”

“!”

For some reason, Rhodnes saw despair in those eyes.

"How can I..."

And then as if it were a lie, a large teardrop falls from Blie Acacia's eye.

“...Can I kill someone most cruelly and miserably?”
