ICTV - Side Story Chapter 4

ICTV - Side Story 4

I change The Villain

It was the moment when Beryl was hurriedly leaving the store, dragging Arshan with him.

"Wait!"

"Huh?"

"Beryl, no. Lord Pale! Wait!"

What is this, déjà vu?

Beryl stiffly turned his head in a situation that seemed to have happened some time ago. There are other people next to him. What is she trying to say?

Just as Beryl, who had internally rejected Judith's confession and felt bad, became anxious. Judith bowed her back and shouted.

"I was so sorry back then!"

What is this again?

Beryl was embarrassed.

***

"I kept wanting to apologize for what happened then. I thought too much about my own feelings, wondering how embarrassed it must be for my brother, or rather, the older brother of someone I wasn't very close with, to have confessed to you."

"..."

Beryl looked blankly at Judith sitting across from him. What, is this really the Judith he knew?

She was originally a good kid, but she became much more mature in the time they didn't see each other. Judith said,

"And I really want to apologize to my siblings for being so attached to you. Even though we clung to each other, we clung to each other too much. That will never happen anymore. I've also gained some sense of maturity."

"Yes, I think so."

Beryl had no choice but to ask.

"What on earth happened?"

"Hehe, in a way, this is also thanks to Lord Pale."

"Thanks to me?"

"Yes."

Judith nodded eagerly.

"You know when my confession was rejected back then. I thought the sky was falling."

"Ah, really back then."

"No, you don't have to feel sorry. On the contrary, I am so grateful to you now. I confessed to you all, but you rejected me outright. So I was able to organize my mind more easily."

Judith said, blushing slightly.

"It's a shame, but at that time, I really thought it was okay if it wasn't for you. I thought I could never meet someone as wonderful as you. Ah, when I think about it now, I can't help but laugh."

Judith pointed to the man waiting for her in the back.

"Do you see that person? He's a really good person. He plays the cello. and I met him at a party. He has excellent playing skills and is a really friendly person."

"Yes, he suits you well."

"Yes?!"

Judith's voice grew louder on its own.

"Even the family elders said that. We will get engaged as soon as possible, get to know each other for a year, and then get married."

Judith said, shaking her arms up and down.

"It was my dream to one day hold a family concert in the garden with beautiful children, and I am confident that I can achieve that dream with that person."

Beryl stared at Judith. Judith, who belatedly noticed Beryl's gaze, quickly calmed down her excitement.

"I came here to apologize, but I only talked about myself. Sorry."

"No, it looks good. I'm so glad you seem to be doing well."

Beryl spoke with sincerity.

"I hope everything goes well with that person in the future."

"Thank you for saying that. I was actually anxious. Something bad happened with my brother, so I thought you would hate me too."

Beryl shook his head.

"Kedis is Kedis and you are you."

"That's right. Oh, how is Lady Pale doing? I heard her wedding is this week? Please convey my congratulations to Lady Pale."

"Yes, I definitely will."

"Now that I think about it, I've caused a lot of trouble to Lady Pale. Lady Pale thought of me and gave me sincere advice, but I was blinded by my former love and did not listen to what she said. I would like to formally apologize to Lady Pale at some point."

"Yeah, I'll tell Rose."

"Thank you so much. Then I'll just get up and go."

Judith stood up and looked back at Beryl.

"Oh, and I will definitely tell you when I have children later."

Judith shouted, smiling brightly.

"Let's get along like great siblings from the Pale family."

A smile also appeared on Beryl's face. Beryl nodded his head.

"Okay, thank you."

"Then I'll just go! Please say hello to Lady Pale too!"

Judith shouted, waving her hands.

"My love! Are you there?"

"Yes, it's here! Judith!"

Judith ran like the wind, the hem of her dress fluttering. Likewise, Arshan, who was waiting for Beryl behind him, was furious.

"It's real chicken meat, chicken meat. You ask that when you see it so clearly there."

"I don't think you should call Violet Lady."

Arshan said while looking at the back of the two in a friendly manner.

"But they really care for and like each other. I can feel the heat of love up to here."

"I see. I hope she is happy."

The two looked at Judith's back and then left the store again.

"But I'm glad I met her when I was with you."

"Why?"

"If I had met her when I was still with my parents, they would have definitely noticed. My mother still understands, but my father seems very anxious. Whenever they get the chance, people ask me if I want to date and get married like everyone else. Maybe you will pay attention to me when you get married. Ugh, just imagining it makes me tired."

"But aren't your parents okay? If it had been any other family, you would have been kicked out a long time ago."

"I'm the heir, but I have no intention of getting married."

"Your parents must have felt like they were struck by lightning when you said that."

"I know. So every time you nag me, I have no choice but to listen quietly. If it had been any other parent, they would have kicked me out a long time ago. Wow, I wonder how a child like me was born to such good people as my parents."

"Maybe they didn't kick you out because he's a bastard like you."

"Thank you for saying that."

The two finally arrived in front of the mansion where Arshan was staying. Arshan shook his head.

"Today was fun. Go in carefully."

"Oh, you too, get some rest."

After parting ways with Arshan, Beryl headed to the Pale family mansion. But as soon as he passed the front door, he saw three children sitting together.

"Then Priest Damian is no longer a priest?"

"Yes, now he runs a flower shop in the village. Iris, no, Iris, what happened to you? Are you still living in this mansion?"

"No. I'm only here until this week. After Lady Pale gets married, I will follow her to the Serenity family mansion. Lady Pale has already decorated my room nicely."

"Wow, you look great. I heard the Serenity family mansion is so luxurious and cool."

"Lady Pale said she could invite you later. Let's play together then too."

Since the last trip, the children have become completely close friends. It seems like only yesterday that they were treating each other with respect and courtesy. Beryl approached the children with a happy expression.

"But Taksha, why did you look so bad earlier?"

"I was curious about that."

"What?"

Beryl asked as he lifted Taksha up. Taksha's face immediately brightened.

"Master, are you back?!"

"Yes, I'm back."

Beryl smiled at Taksha and then put him back down. And he asked again.

"So what are you curious about?"

"Oh, that's it."

Taksha asked with an innocent face.

"What is love?"

Beryl froze. That's right, Taksha's specialty was confusing people by specialty was confusing people by asking strange and difficult questions.

Iris asked.

"Why are you suddenly curious about that?"

"No, it's because the Young Lady got married. I suddenly became curious. That's what I'm saying, Young Master. Please teach me. What is love?"

But Beryl couldn't say anything. Taksha turned her head again to her two friends.

"What, you don't seem to know.

"Do you know?"

"Wouldn't it be better to ask other adults rather than us?"

"That's right, what do we know?"

Taksha stroked his chin.

"Actually, I asked Sister Mera before I came here, but she was shy and avoided answering."

"Sister Mera?"

"Hmm, but actually, she was just embarrassed by that question. These days, she feels really embarrassed all the time. She is embarrassed even if she looks like she's in a good mood today, and she's embarrassed even if I ask her where she's going out?"

Mouchet blinked.

"Wow, really? Damian also says the same thing. It's a huge coincidence."

"Mouchet, what happened to your house?"

"I don't know. I'm so happy that Damien has become my real brother after leaving the temple, but he seems to be just as complicated."

"Why?"

"I don't know, I'll try to talk about it seriously later. You don't have to worry too much. It won't be a big deal."

"Yes? So, back to the main topic, what do you think about love?"

Mouchet thought about it before answering.

"I learned it at the temple and it is said to be one of the most beautiful things in the world. They say that only with love can we live together with others. You can overcome bad things."

"I guess the reason the Duke and Lady are getting married this time is because they love each other, right?"

Taksha nodded.

"Of course. No matter how bad something happens, the two of them will be able to overcome it together. Because Lasy are smart and the Duke is also smart."

"But you know, didn't the two look really happy?"

"That's right. They haven't even gotten married yet, but they look really happy."

"I guess they're happy just preparing for the wedding."

"As long as you are with the person you love, you will be happy no matter what you do."

Iris secretly looked at Taksha. Mouchet, who sensed Iris's feelings, quickly spoke.

"You know, Taksha."

"Why?"

"Who do you want to marry when you grow up?"

"Huh? Me? I like someone who will eat a lot of delicious food with me."

"Is that it? Personality or something like that?"

The topic of conversation had changed at some point. Taksha was lost in his thoughts and then he said.

"Well, I haven't thought about it that far."

"What about you, Iris?"

Mouchet also asked Iris. Iris lowered her head and spoke in a voice the size of a mosquito.

"I like cute kids. I want to marry a cute boy."

"Wow, Iris, your ideal type is similar to our Lady? My Lady also said she was marrying the Duke because he was cute. "

"Yes, I especially want a boy with cute and soft cheeks. For example, like you Taksha...."

After hearing this, Taksha immediately got up from his seat and ran into the garden, crying.
