EIITAB - Chapter 91 Duty No To Reveal Anything

Even if it is Trampled and Broken

"Whoa....."

Dr. Vito only sighed deeply and did not respond. And he looked at Dulcinea for a moment with a very pitiful look on his face.

Most people would have read right away that she was feeling uncomfortable, and would have walked away without saying, 'I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, for taking up your time when you were busy!'

But there was no sign of that at all in Dulcinea. Instead, she was looking at him with even more earnest eyes.

'Well, this young lady is not that kind of person.'

Dulcinea was invincible in some ways. She mainly acts as a bully.

'It seems like this will continue until I say it out loud, so there's nothing I can do!'

Dr. Vito sighed and strongly touched his forehead. Soon his lips opened, and a harsh voice, as if reprimanding him, came out.

"Let me be clear. The herbs I manage here are mostly those that are effective in treating wounds and fevers. Other than that, there are only disinfectants and paralytics."

 "... Is it so?"

Dr. Vito stared at Dulcinea, who couldn't hide her disappointment. He had a look on his face that seemed to clearly guess why she was looking for that silphium.

"If that's the case, wouldn't it be better to get married?"

Dr. Vito added indifferently with a sour expression on his face.

'Seeing as you used spice as an excuse, it looks like you did some studying.'

He appreciates that! But he couldn't be fooled. After all, would a mere chef have ordered her to run an errand for him?

'You're talking nonsense!'

Dr. Vito was not a fool, and he was not so soft on Dulcinea that he would overlook such a lie. The reason silphium is in high demand is because the herb has a wide variety of uses. From roots to stems, leaves, and petals... It truly deserves to be called an all-purpose herb because there is nothing left to throw away.

Of course, as Dulcinea mentioned earlier, it can also be used as a substitute for spices or vinegar. In addition, it is effective for coughing and indigestion, and can also be used to disinfect the affected area. And one more thing. Silphium also showed excellent efficacy in contraception.

However, even the slightest difference in dosage can cause a great burden on the body, so it has to be prepared by a doctor or pharmacist with specialized knowledge.

Since Dr. Vito was a skilled doctor, he was well aware of the powerful effects of silphium. Meanwhile, Dulcinea looked confused.

"Marriage...? What are you saying now?"

Dulcinea's face, which had been blinking because she could not understand what Dr Vito meant, suddenly heated up in an instant. This is because she realized its meaning a few beats later.

"Ugh, Dr. Vito!"

Dulcinea's voice rose and cracked.

"No, now! What the hell now!"

She was so embarrassed that she chewed and groped her tongue several times. In the end, unable to overcome her temper, Dulcinea screamed.

"What are you misunderstanding!"

Then, Dr. Vito raised his hands and covered his own ear holes, his face scrunched up as if his ears were stinging.

"It's noisy."

But Dulcinea did not lower her voice at all.

"That's not what I mean!"

"Yes, I understand. Otherwise, it worked. Honestly, I feel fortunate."

Dr. Vito said half-heartedly. Dulcinea, with her red face, added another excuse as she realized that he was not even listening to her.

Is it so! As for Rimo... You're right about making excuses! But I-I was just being asked to do it!"

However, Dr. Vito did not look particularly trustworthy this time either. Who would dare to make that Dulcinea run qn errands, and who would obediently listen to his request?

She didn't make any excuses.

"Yes, I understand that too."

In any case, the silphium she sought did not exist in this medicinal source. Even herbs with similar efficacy. As he said before, all he had was for the wounded soldiers. So there would be no reason to talk any further with this troublesome Young Lady.

Dr. Vito was planning to end the conversation with her.

"I'm so glad it wasn't your business. Anyway, we don't really have that type of herb on hand."

However, despite his words, Dulcinea just looked at Dr. Vito with a tearful face and showed no signs of backing down.

He finally let out a long sigh as if he wanted her to hear and pointed towards her door.

"As you can see, I have a lot of work to do. Could you please leave?"

It was difficult for Dulcinea to withstand the direct order to congratulate the guests any longer. But she had not yet turned her body, her face still filled with regret. Dulcinea hesitated and then opened her mouth with difficulty.

"Excuse me... Dr. Vito. You know. What about today..."

Dr. Vito knew what she was trying to ask him. So he cut Dulcinea off mid-sentence.

"A doctor is a person whose job is to cure diseases. And he is also a person who must never reveal the patient's secrets to anyone else. Of course, the Young Lady doesn't seem to be patient... I don't want to get into trouble, so don't worry."

Dulcinea finally showed her relieved expression. These words were very believable, as they were said not by anyone else but by Dr. Vito, who could not even pay attention to her empty words.

"You don't have to worry about the word leaking out somewhere else."

Dulcinea nodded her head quietly.

"I'm sorry for taking up your time."

Without even saying a proper goodbye, she left the medical center. No sooner had she closed the door than Dulcinea let out a deep sigh.

"What do we do?"

There will be no further comments due to the request added at the end, but... She may end up not being able to get what she wants.

"I  can't be late. I need to prepare.."

Would it be better to give up on Silphium?

'Are there any herbs with similar efficacy?'

'Phew, do I have to lock myself in the library again?'

She was nervous. She unconsciously lifted her hand and began chewing her thumbnail.

There was blood coming out, but she was so anxious that she didn't even notice it.

***

Hestia was reading. But she couldn't really concentrate. It was because she felt bloated from the food she ate in the morning.

"Whoa...."

Finally, she closed her bookshelf, letting out a heavy breath. Her eyes turned to the window. The glass was frost-free and she could see the sky outside very clearly. She thought that the weather seemed to be very good today as well.

"And it looks like it hasn't snowed once since I arrived at Kalathi Castle."

She wasn't sad. She felt rather fortunate. She said that if she just looked at the weather phenomenon from indoors, she would be able to appreciate it, calling it beautiful, but people working outside would not.

"Ha.. I guess I'll have to walk a bit. I feel so sick."

Hestia removed her blanket from her lap, got up from the chair, and began to walk around slowly. But no matter how large this room was, she couldn't refresh her bloated stomach.

"When on earth are he going to tell me it's okay to go out?"

Hestia puffed out her cheeks slightly, but then she puffed them out and grumbled softly. She had thought that there was nothing she could do about being trapped here until Aslan returned from his hunt.

However, at the urging of Lady Philippa, she secretly went out to the Night Garden and saw the Aurora...

She also heard from him that she would soon be able to go out, and from then on, she looked forward to that day every day.

"Whoa...."

She repeatedly consciously took a deep breath in and then repeated her exhalation. But despite her efforts, her stomach didn't feel any better.

"This is all because of Aslan."

Hestia muttered, frowning slightly on her face. Since his return, the two have been eating every meal together, every day. Unlike Lady Philippa, Aslan was not soft-spoken when it came to eating.

'I told you last time, you eat too little. Eat more. I'll watch until you finish eating.'

So, by Hestia's standards, she was eating too much these days. Angela and Lady Philippa welcomed it, but it was quite an ordeal for Hestia, whose digestion power was greatly reduced.

"I'm really trying my best to eat..."

Aslan's dissatisfied gaze at her did not go away.

"Why do I feel like you keep getting thinner even though your food intake has increased?"

Hestia felt a pang inside, but she soon calmed down her expression.

"You don't gain weight that quickly. Who doesn't know that? But if you eat more, at least you shouldn't lose weight. "

He said and gently grabbed Hestia's forearm. As expected, his hand remained. Aslan, who was checking her circumference, crumpled his face even more and spoke as if he was chewing her.

"Look at this. It fell further. Originally, when you held it like this, you only overlapped one finger joint, but now it's almost two fingers."

Hestia, recalling what he said, curled her lower lip and asked. She pretended not to do so and put out her flippers, but in fact, as Aslan pointed out, she was losing weight as time went by.

"My condition isn't really bad. Is this something that can't be helped...?"

It was when she let out a long sigh in frustration that was different from before.

The door suddenly opened without knocking.
