ICTV - Chapter 51

I Changed The Villain

“Follow me, brother.”

"Huh"

“The opening ceremony is over….”

Beryl trailed off and looked at Mera. Mera nodded, tying the red ribbon tightly around her and Taksha's wrists.

“Moving at top speed!"

Now the number of people will increase by three times!!

At the same time, Beryl shot forward quickly like a bullet. I couldn't run because there were a lot of people, but I walked very quickly. If this is going to be the case, I think it would be better to just connect my wrists with a ribbon. I also walked as fast as I could and caught up with Beryl.

“Mera, how about Taksha? Is he following along well?"

“Don’t worry Taksha!”

Even after Mera connected them with the ribbon, she just held Taksha, who looked anxious, with one arm. Taksha was terrified. Finally, he shook off his anxiety and shouted with excitement.

“Sister Mera is so strong!”

“Do you finally know that?! Go a little faster!"

“What if they pass us by? You don’t even know the way!”

“Brother, don’t run! Don’t run!”

After a while, I was already exhausted. Those crazy people, they run up and down steep mountains. I don’t know if I was traveling with a mountain goat or a person.

I held my breath and held my breath. Mera, who put down Taksha, said with a worried face.

“Miss, I will carry you when you go down.”

“… Okay, please.”

***

Mera asked me to ask the temple cleaner to fetch her a bowl of water, and Beryl looked at the schedule with a proud look on his face.

“Fortunately, We arrived when there weren’t many people. We can go to the wildflower sanctuary right from here.”

Beryl circled it with a red colored pencil and gestured to me.

“Come quickly, pumpkin flower!”

I, who had just received the bowl, hurriedly gulped down the water.

“They say you have to eat food and water slowly.”

"It's okay."

The four entered the temple. The specially opened temple felt more like a large crypt than a temple.

“This temple was completely untouched to preserve it. There are a few lights installed, but they are very minimal.”

It was somehow dark. I looked around with interest. It was rough, but it was cool and the humidity was just right, so it was very comfortable. If I could, I would want to sleep here.

“Then, here are the precautions. I hope you have a comfortable time."

As soon as the guide's explanation was over, Beryl took the lead. I followed closely. There were murals all over the temple, and early on, a few tourists were looking at them with serious faces.

The village of Tara worshiped the goddesses of plants, Flora, and Nature, rather than the popular Harmonia. It is said that Flora makes flowers bloom, and Nature blooms leaves. According to the myth, the two considered each other as one body, and believers worshiped both at the same time.

I looked at the mural. Flora, holding a flower, and Nature, wearing a laurel wreath, were walking barefoot on the ground. Even though a very long time has passed, the color was only slightly faded, but there was no damage whatsoever.

I tried to stop to take a closer look at the mural, but quickly followed Beryl, who had gone a long way away. This is because Beryl, as someone who has been trained for a long time, was able to grasp every detail with just a passing look. I also had good observation skills, but I was bound to be different from someone who was professionally trained.

The group quickly arrived at a dead end. This means that the temple tour is over. Beryl shouted as he took out the plan.

“Now, let’s go straight to the next location!”

I nodded, turning my ankle a few times. The next location was a wildflower habitat.

“Don’t miss me this time and follow me! Don’t worry too much.”

Mera and Taksha looked at Beryl's back as they walked forward with worried eyes.

“...Not like a real Master.”

“In any place, in any situation the Master who put the Young Lady in his care first.”

I don’t know who this trip is for. The two looked at the brother and sister with sullen faces. No matter how good a family you are, you have to be careful when deciding to go on a trip together. Was that really true?

“Miss, I couldn’t see you properly, are you okay?”

"Huh. It’s like the package tour I’ve only heard about and I like it.”

I said it was okay, but if it continued like this for 3 nights and 4 days, it wouldn't be proper.

I had a feeling that the trip would end without a single memory, and that feeling became stronger when I saw Beryl going straight back to the village without taking a break even in the wildflower habitat.

At that time, Taksha's eyes sparkled.

"Uh? It’s cotton candy.”

A man with a warm appearance was making cotton candy with skill. Taksha's steps naturally slowed down as he noticed the lilac-colored cotton candy that was on special sale during the Lovenica festival.

I, who noticed the ghost-like figure even during a difficult time, immediately grabbed my hand bag opened it.

“I told you to tell me if you want cotton candy. Brother, let’s buy Taksha one of those.”

"Excuse me?"

As soon as Beryl checked the store sign, he immediately shook his head.

"No."

"Why?"

“I’ve also decided on a place to buy snacks. There is a store that is more popular and much more delicious than this one. Let’s eat what they sell there. Even if it’s a special sale, it’s like that. Cotton candy that is only colored is sold at other street vendors.”

Beryl gestured to Taksha.

“Taksha, I’ll buy you something more delicious. Come on."

"...Really?"

“Okay, it’s close to our next destination, so let’s stop there and go.”

Taksha nodded his head loudly. I stared at Beryl and then turned my head.

The four took steps again. Beryl's assurance that it was a great restaurant was true, with people standing in long lines.

This store sold waffles with blueberry ice cream in between. Beryl nodded while checking the time. Thanks to his good sense of wit, they were able to save a lot of time at the shrine and the wildflower habitat.

“Brother, I think we’ll have to wait a long time for this. Are you okay?”

"Yes, I'm fine."

Thank God.

I sighed. After a while, the group was able to put waffles in their mouths one by one. Beryl looked at Taksha with a proud face.

“What do you think? Is it as I said? This is the best, right?"

“Yes, it’s really delicious!”

Taksha nodded, taking a big bite of the waffle. As expected, the Master is wise. As Taksha was devouring the waffle, a child holding his mother's hand passed by. The child's other hand, which was not holding its mother's hand, was holding a large piece of cotton candy.

“Thank you, Mom!”

"Bon appetit."

Taksha's eyes automatically picked up the child. Taksha watched the child until he disappeared into the crowd and then glanced down at the waffle. This is delicious, but he wants to eat cotton candy the most. But he can't waste any more time here.

Taksha closed his eyes tightly. He can buy things like cotton candy later and eat it later. Taksha hurriedly chased after the group.

The place the group arrived this time was a wide lake. There was a place that rented sculpture boats and a shop that sold flower bouquets.

Mera immediately saw a heart shape.

“I know this lake! It’s the second most famous lake in Eul after the Lovenica Flower Festival!”

“Oh, did you know? Where did you see it?”

“I saw it in the dating white paper!”

Mera immediately cupped her cheeks with both hands as if she was dreaming.

“A place always ranked in the top 50 date spots carefully selected by dating experts! The moment they confirmed their love for each other while riding the small boat here, they said they could be together forever!”

“Oh, so there was a bouquet shop, you see.”

Mera shivered, even shaking the hem of her skirt.

“Ah, I too will get to ride a sculpture boat here someday! My lover prays earnestly with the same heart as mine!”

“I think merchants pray more earnestly than couples. Only if the love of the couples who come here goes well will they be able to continue doing business here.”

"That's right. It’s a world where it’s really hard to make a living.”

Beryl and Taksha looked vaguely at the lake. Mera was dumbfounded.

“Try to be a sentimental person in a place like this! Anyway, why did you come to a place that only lovers come to?”

"..."

Beryl was silent. Mera's eyebrows rose.

“You have someone in mind, so you'd like to take a preliminary field trip.”

Before Mera could finish speaking, Beryl spoke clearly.

“It’s absolutely not like that. I just came because I heard there is another legend here.”

“Another legend? There was nothing like that in the dating encyclopedia.”

“It’s a dating encyclopedia, so of course there will only be stories related to love.”

“What is that legend?”

"Therefore…."

Beryl, who was speechless, shook his head.

"Done. Let’s just go.”

“What is it?”

“Let’s go. Nothing special. People too, what's so good about a place like this? Let’s just move on to the next location.”

What…! She's curious!

Mera, who really enjoyed talking about this, shook her fist up and down.

“Master Beryl...! Don’t make people wonder, just tell me!”

It was a desperate gesture, but Beryl was cold again today.

“Stop waving that menacing weapon up and down. What if someone gets hit by mistake? Wow, I’m scared.”

"..."

Taksha didn't show it, but he was so scared that he slowly fell away from Mera. Mera quietly lowered her fist.

“But I’m really curious.”

“If you’re really curious, find out for yourself. I’m dead and even if I wake up, I can’t speak with my mouth.”

Mera eventually took a step back.

“Okay. I’ll find out on my own, so just tell me where to find out. Can you give it to me?”

“Is there an old bookstore in the back alley of this town? If you search there, you might be able to find a book containing that legend.”

It was an old bookstore in a back alley. Mera tilted her head.

“Where on earth did you get such a book, Master? You said you’ve never been here before.”

“I told you.”

Beryl looked at the lake again.

“I have everything, including acquaintances and books. I mobilized and investigated Tara. I want it to be a perfect trip.”

Beryl, who said that, looked somewhat lonely. Mera fiddled with the hem of her skirt and then opened her mouth.

“..Master, but..."

Before Mera could finish speaking, Beryl slapped his cheeks with his palms. Beryl, who hit hard enough to leave a handprint on her cheek, took out the plan once more.

“Come on, let’s move quickly! Staying here any longer is just a waste of time."

How happy I am to kill time meaninglessly. Walking around is happy, but meaningless rest time is also necessary. I, who was happiest lying in bed and doing nothing, tried to refute those words but immediately covered my mouth with my palm.

It is also funny that a beginner without any proper travel experience would file a complaint. Above all, it was the first time I had seen Beryl studying so hard.

This time, I will unconditionally be on my brother's side. It was a moment when I immediately tried to sympathize with Beryl.

“What are you trying to say by coming all the way here?”
