EIITAB - Chapter 47 Blessing

Even If It Is Trampled And Broken

There was just one problem. Because Aslan was taller than an average person, the seam had to be torn off and repaired quite a bit.

"Angela, you worked really hard to repair the groom's suit and my dress in such a short period of time."

As Hestia expressed her gratitude by holding her maid's hands tightly, Angela blushed as if she were embarrassed.

"Of course, it's something I have to do. And it's not just anyone else, it's the Princess who is getting married. I wanted to do it."

"Thank you..."

Angela, who was embarrassed for no reason, cleared her throat a few times, and then Hestia smoothed out the wrinkles in her dress and touched up her hair and makeup.

"I'm sure His Majesty the King and the Queen will be upset because they won't be able to see such a pretty Princess."

"... They must be watching from heaven."

Hestia glanced up at her and swallowed her bitter heart.

"But why doesn't Duke Kalathi come to the waiting room?"

Yorgos, her aunt, and the Crown Prince had already visited once, and the high Priest also came to visit Hestia. But none of them congratulated Hestia on her marriage. However, the look in their eyes contained the question, 'Do I really have to get married?'

Even though it was already the day of the ceremony, they seemed to want to win Hestia's heart and save her marriage if possible. Hestia was tired of dealing with such people, so she sent them away, asking them to check on her wedding preparations on her behalf.

She knew it was all just an excuse, but she wasn't brave enough to stay even after receiving a ban. Besides, the high Priest actually had nothing to do. This is because the officiant was omitted at today's wedding.

It was an unprecedented event in the history of the Ellsworth Kingdom for a Saintess to get married. So, it was said that there was intense discussion for three days about who would officiate this wedding. At first, a high priest was mentioned.  However, since Hestia decided to maintain her status as a Saintess, it was unreasonable for the high priest, who was of lower status than her, to officiate at her. Because of this, Anette was once mentioned as a candidate to officiate, but it did not come to fruition due to Yorgos' fierce opposition.

According to him, Hestia and Anette are of the same level. However, the trivial reason was that Anette officiating and Hestia listening to the ceremony could make Anette seem superior to her. The argument, which Hestia thought was nothing special, became quite long due to pride issues on both sides.

It was Aslan who put an end to their controversy. There is no need for it. He strongly expressed his opinion that he did not want to hear any sermons from either the royal family or the temple.

Hestia fully understood why Aslan said that. From his point of view, they were both objects of hatred, let alone respect, so it was obvious that he would not want to bow his head in front of them even for a moment.

He said, just by having a wedding at the temple, he has made a lot of concessions to her!

Therefore, Hestia decided to skip the officiating ceremony. Hestia and Aslan decided to kneel in front of the statue and make their own marriage vows.

She pursed and unclenched her lips once, soothing Angela, who still looked like she was in trouble.

"That person must be busy right now."

Hestia smiled and defended Aslan with a perplexed expression. But as expected, it didn't work on Angela.

"He's busy. There aren't many guests, right? Oh my, really! Shall I go and get him?"

"Okay, that's enough. It's okay, Angela. He's probably reciting his vows, but I don't want to disturb him."

Hestia was afraid that Angela would leave at any moment and bring Aslan back, so she quickly turned her body around.

"Can you take a look at my dress and veil one more time?"

 "Yes, I will."

That was when Hestia was calmly catching her breath in her bridal waiting room with Angela's help. The door opened with a knock.

"... Ah."

After confirming who the other person was, Hestia let out a very short, sighing sound in a voice so small that it was barely audible.

The person who appeared outside was none other than Anette. She was dressed up extravagantly as if she were the main character of today's ceremony.

On the wedding day, it was quite rude in the Kingdom of Ellsworth to dress up more extravagantly than the bride. Therefore, it was natural that Angela's eyebrows furrowed when she saw Anette's outfit.

When she tried to protest, Hestia, who noticed her expression first, stopped her.

"No, Angela. Stay still. Don't say anything."

The voice was so small and fast that only her maid could hear it. Hestia calmed down her agitation by taking a quick breath and looked directly at Anette.

Fortunately, she was able to deliver her greeting with a calm voice and demeanor.

"Saintess Anette, thank you for visiting us."

"Congratulations on your marriage, Lady Hestia."

Again, again. Anette returned her greeting in an extremely friendly manner and nodded her head. Her red hair flowed down in front of her shoulders, showing off her desirability. In many ways, she had the opposite image of Hestia. At one time, she was jealous of Anette's red color because it seemed like it was a manifestation of her divine power.

Hestia, who was momentarily distracted by her intense colors, looked into Anette's eyes again and smiled. She was still sitting.

"Please understand that I cannot stand up and greet you. It's not easy because the dress is long."

"Oh! Don't mind it. It's okay."

Anette even waved her hands and actively expressed her intention that she was okay.

"Thank you for your understanding."

But soon she drooped her eyebrows as if showing pride. Then, she started looking at various parts of Hestia's body with an expression of concern.

"By the way, you collapsed a few days ago. How is your feeling?"

"Thanks for your concern, I'm fine now. I had a mild case of dizziness, but my heart was heavy the whole time because I felt like I had caused concern to many people."

Hestia naturally continued her words. It really doesn't seem like a big deal. As she continued speaking, Anette studied Hestia's face with narrowed eyes. Those eyes seemed to be laughing.

However, Hestia did not bother to point out Anette's attitude. She said to herself, 'You just have to be patient.'

After this time today, she won't have to see her again. This was because Hestia was planning to leave the capital and follow Aslan to Kalathi in the north.

Hestia swallowed her sigh. The sunken violet eyes looked straight at Anette again. She didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble.

"Now that I think about it, the people who attended the banquet that night must have been very surprised."

"Ah yes. It was like that. I was worried that you had collapsed, but then Duke Kalathi said that the two of you were engaged... Everyone was confused."

Although her words were close to provocation, Hestia did not get caught and smiled calmly.

"Anette, could you please take my place and tell others not to worry? I can't make any promises about the next party."

"Of course, of course."

Anette smiled and nodded as if it was no big deal. Her confident attitude, showed that she had already dominated the social world. There was a slightly awkward silence between the two people.

In fact, there was almost no personal interaction, so there was nothing more to say. However, Anette did not leave the waiting room, and stood in front of Hestia, looking down at her. Just when Hestia felt uncomfortable with her gaze, Anette smiled and spoke her words.

"You are very beautiful."

It was definitely a compliment, but strangely enough, it didn't feel very good. Hestia returned a modest thank you and was about to end the conversation. But then Anette suddenly asked a question.

"Hestia, are you happy?"

It was an incredibly strange question.

'Why are you asking that?'

Hestia looked at Anette for a moment to understand her true intentions. Anette smiled brightly, looking at Hestia with an expression that did not seem to bother her in the slightest. In fact, she didn't even know that it looked even weirder.

'We can't keep confronting each other.'

She wanted to give her an appropriate answer and let her go. In the end, Hestia lightly sighed and opened her lips.

"To do that, I'm trying to set foot on a new path."

" I see."

Anette nodded her head and answered in a much lower tone. It was a strange conversation without knowing why. Anette secretly clenched her fist as she answered, but Hestia did not notice. The conversation between the two women kept stopping, creating an awkward atmosphere.

Then Anette rolled up her sleeves slightly and said,

"Oh, by the way, look at my mind. In fact, I came to bless Hestia, but I forgot."

At that moment, Hestia stopped. In her past life, she remembered how, on her own wedding day, Anette had placed her hand on Hestia's forehead to give her blessing. At that time, her sexual power and vitality were almost depleted, so she had no reason to refuse Anette's offer. So, out of gratitude, she accepted her blessing, but from that moment on, her health rapidly deteriorated.

Hestia remembered that memory again, but for some reason she could not erase her anxious feeling. She didn't even have Hestia give permission yet, and it seemed like Anette was planning to push ahead with her stubbornness.

"I will especially bless you with a lot of my strength."

She raised her right hand, especially her index finger.
