SPMB - Chapter 29

A thorny, silence pressed them down.

"So?"

Orsini was very excited. He exhales hot breath like fire.

"So, do you intend to take revenge? What about you?"

Every words of his voice oozes with bitter contempt, shame and anger.

"Ha, yes! How unpleasant! For not recognizing a lump of filth like you, you was talking nonsense. But what is it? Do you thing you did anything big?"

"..."

"I don't think you can insult me!"

It was different from words. His swollen eyes felt as if they would explode the moment he touched them.

"Huh."

"...What?"

"Does it seem successful?"

At that moment, the power came into Orsini's grasp once again.

"You look like you want to die. Who do you think will care if you die alone?"

"Yes."

"No! Nobody cares if I kill you here and now! That's you, Kanna!"

She was gradually out of breath. Is he really trying to strangle her?

As soon as she thought of that, Orsini pushed her away. She fell backwards at once, but it didn't hurt because she was on her soft lawn. When she hurriedly lifted her head,

"..."

Orsini had already disappeared.

Kanna, who had been in daze, looked around.

'What?'

Orsini go? Like this? So fast? So vain?

As she stared at the empty place, she lost all her energy. In a hurry she lay down on her back.

'Is this the end?'

He can't do that. That Orsini Addis, just pretending to choke her and then ending it with a shove?

"Is he drunk? If he is sane, there's no way he will go over like this.'

She heard that Orsini gets more violent when he drinks.. She was disappointed because she was expecting a lot of his glow.

'I put the medicine with great effort.'

Actually, she was waiting for Orsini to hit her one or two in the form of clear evidence. To the level where the lips parted or the cheeks puffed out like before. If that happens, she can use assault as an excuse to ask her father to leave the house.

'This much subsides quickly, so it doesn't even show. If Orsini says he never did that, there's no way to prove it.'

Since it happened like this, she's going to slap herself on the cheek and leave some evidence.

'Well, it was quite nice to see him trembling in anger.'

Spasm of the fingers gripping the scruff of the neck. Kanna could still feel his tremors, so she laughed. Perhaps Orsini has never been played in someone's hand to this extent in his life. It would be shameful enough to want to die.

'Should I be satisfied with this and go back?'

Kanna stood up. She unfolded the crumpled hem of her skirt and she lifted her head again after pulling off each grass.

And met blue eyes.

"..."

A chill ran down Kanna's back.

It was Silvienne Valentino.

***

Since when has he been there? Kanna doesn't even fell the presence.

'I bet you haven't seen it all, right?'

Kanna glared at him and then turned around. When she was about to walk in the opposite direction where Sylvien was standing, the direction where Orsini had left.

"Wait."

A voice.

Kanna stopped involuntarily at the sound of his voice, and doubted.

Is he talking to her right now?

"There is dirt still attached."

"..."

Kanna slowly turned around in disbelief. She was not mistaken.

'He speak to me?'

Sylvien spoke first. For the first time. He's never been like that before.

'Why?'

In Joo-hwa memory, Sylvien was always the one who only answered. Not once, not ever once in the past seven years had he spoken to her first.

By the way, is he want to talking about solving our problem?

"...Yes?"

After quickly resolving her embarrassment, she averted her gaze again. Where is the grass?

When she's turning your head around looking for it,

'What?'

Tumble.

Kanna heard footsteps walking, neither slow or fast.

'What?'

Kanna swallowed. Is it an illusion or is it getting closer?

'Couldn't it be coming to me?'

No, come or not, what does that have to do with her? She hurriedly tried to ignore it, but it was impossible. As if a cold glazier was drifting down, the enormous presence, the coldness, was something that could not be ignored.

The moment when the sound of footsteps finally stopped behind.

"...!"

Something grazed her spine. Suddenly, goosebumps ran down the back of her neck. Kanna gulped and glared at him.

"Now..."

Now that man is touching her back!

"What are you doing?"

"Here."

Blades of grass dangling between Sylvien's fingers. Kanna glared fiercely at his hand and shouted.

"From now on, please just tell me. Because I can do it myself."

Sylvien didn't answer. Instead, he stared at the green crumbs stuck between his fingers.

"It looks like you've been rolling around violently."

Took.

A blade of grass falls from his finger. Following that trajectory, Sylvien's gaze went all the way down and then came up again.

His eyes were plain to the point of dryness, but he had already looked through everything.

A messy crumpled skirt.

A handprint on the nape of her neck, and disheveled hair.

"Did the man leave without cleaning up?"

"...?"

The man?

'What are you talking about?'

Kanna frowned.

She think he's referring to Orsini, but since he came from the opposite direction, he couldn't confirm the man's identity.

"Choosing someone like that, Miss Kanna doesn't have a good eye for men."

"...?"

She was puzzled for a moment, but immediately noticed. Sylvien was misunderstanding something now. He seemed to think that she had been wallowing 'that way' with a man she had an affair with. Like playing with fire in the garden.

Isn't this a good opportunity to get Sylvien to lead the divorce? Sylvien has been using Kanna well as a scarecrow doll.

The Duchess lives quietly as if she exist or does no t exist. It could have been more satisfying than being annoyed with a barrage of affection. If Kanna ask for a divorce, he'll accept it, but he won't be the first tp take the initiative. She was an easy woman to take the Duchess's place.

Maybe when Kanna was beaten and injured by Josephine -- if it hadn't been for an incident where she cried and cried while clinging to Sylvie's feet around that time, he might have saved her. But what if the woman is cheating on her with another man? Is she the woman who chased after him like a dog?

Even if you don't have any feelings for Kanna, it might be unpleasant. He may feel the need to replace it with another scarecrow.

'If Sylvien takes the lead, I'm grateful. My father will have to allow it in the end.'

When she thought about it, the corners of her mouth almost went up.

'This is a good opportunity.'

After barely pulling, he coughed heavily.

"That's right."

"..."

"In the meantime, I had a bad eye for men."

"..."

"Then you admitting it? What?"

"What?"

Sylvien's eyes narrowed slightly. The frost on the wall is poisonously cold.

"At night, in an empty garden, disheveled like this."

"..."

"I remembered your face too."

"Is it so? I was disappointed that it was less intense than I though, but I can see his face is still red."

She blushed from being choked for a moment, but it was definitely less intense. She was hoping to see Orsini fight harder.

Kanna smiled slyly and bowed her head.

"Thank you for caring about the little things, Duke. But,"

She sighed, feeling a bit annoyed.

"Since when did you care about my privacy? You don't have to."
